could not visit the hotel due to the Corona virus, but the staff were great when communicating with them. Was offered to move our booking to a later date, but at these times were uncertain when we could visit. The hotel offered us a good refund and they did not have too with our booking. So thank you for that. Will use the hotel in the future. Thanks again

Beware - the staff said the rude male receptionist that everyone has been complaining about is Randy Patel who is actually the manager/owner so there is nothing that will fix these issues. We were asking help to cancel or fix our reservation but he basically was not entertaining the questions and was very rude, was caught lying, and was yelling over the phone. Please continue reading all the past reviews.

There are many places to stay in San Francisco. Don't waste your time or money on this hotel. I travelled with a group of 4 women. When we were checking in, we were completely disrespected, by who I later found out was the hotel manager. He was rude, angry and has no place in hotel management or customer service for that matter. He yelled at us for asking questions about the check in process, which he had messed up all on his own. As a group of women we were scared to stay there, but had no choice as Hotels.com would not move us to another hotel. Once we got to the room we sat on the beds to find that there was an actual hole in one of the mattresses. Because of the experience we had at check in, we were too afraid to go down and ask to be moved. So we had to deal with it. How on earth this place is in business I have no idea. San Francisco is an expensive city to stay in, stay somewhere that respects you, your business and has proper mattresses. I recommend the Lombard Motor Inn for a budget friendly and actually friendly place!

upon pulling up in the cab i was surprised how central i was, knew about the security deposit before i traveled so was no surprise when i arrived. the main door is locked 24/7 would have been nice to had a key to the door but looking at the homeless problem its maybe better that guests don't that case security of the hotel is maintained with little chance of anybody just walking in. it would have been sice to be able to bring a guest back for a little while before heading out but again can understand the hotel policy with other guests taking advantage. i was traveling on a budget to opted for a shared bathroom, not sure how many people were in the hotel at the time i was there but never needed to wait to use the toilet or bathroom. i was on the 5th floor (or as we would call it in the uk 4th floor), i never heard any noise from the outside even with having the window open all night. the room was basic, but very clean. was great having a fridge and microwave. only thing missing for me was a kettle as i like a cup of tea when i wake up. the staff that i meet there were all warm and welcoming. every morning before i left i would hear a voice from behind the front desk asking if i needed my room cleaned, i don't do housework everyday at home so most days told them no.

Although convenient at times during the night, street noise was a problem but not something the hotel was in control of. Rooms have fridge and microwave that are handy but no tea and coffee making facilities. Good dinners nearby for breakfast and plenty of dinning nearby
