We stayed at the Tilden January 11th, 2017. The rooms was quite dated. The finishes did not quite match what was advertised online. The biggest issue was what we believe is a trash compactor at the side of the building. It sounded like construction was going on all night and all morning. It was extremely loud and kept waking us...

Greetings! We are really grateful to you for appreciating our hotel and while we do offer valet parking services, I will agree with you that taking alternative transport or simply walking is a much better way to enjoy the city! I'm glad you find us worth recommending and hope to see you again in the future. Sincerely, Kunal Khandwala Front...

Good location, rooms looks old and elevator is really slow. Clean staff was not attentive to details (that maybe because hotel was full). Parking cost is 49 bucks, there is a 35USD overnight parking nearby

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Fairly modern with vintage vibes, room has great amenities. A convenient location, very close to Union Square - 5 mins walk. Note that the nearby neighborhood can be sketchy at night so avoid staying out too late or stick to big streets with lights. Must try the Taylor Street cafe for breakfast just next...

We stayed for 7nights during the Christmas holidays. No aircon! The room has 2 double beds, just right for the two of us, not big nor small. The bathroom is quite small, basic toiletries is included (shampoo, conditioner, liquid body wash, a small bar soap), the pump/container for the shampoo and the rest is a bit hard to press. They...

Greetings, We understand your concerns about some mentally ill homeless people out in the city. It is an issue that not only surfaces in the downtown area but much of the city as a whole. While we do our best to ensure that our hotel is secure from any intrusion, we are left in an unfortunate position when our guests...

Still some small amount of construction, but coffee shop seems to be near completion as well as what I assume is a restaurant. Staff are superb and the hotel was newly re-modeled so rooms are great. Area is a little dicey at night as right on edge of tenderloin and lots of homeless at night. Rooms are large; for some...

The rooms are small with very bad lighting. Bathroom was dirty on arrival. Doorman did not actually open the door for us at all. Reception staff were helpful only when specifically asked. There were no tissues in the rooms and I had to request new toilet paper. I would only go back if the service picked up.

The Tilden is a clean' comfortable hotel in a perfect location at Union Square. You are just around the corner from Macy's, the Cable car stop at Powell, and great shopping and places to eat. The rooms were large and the beds very comfortable. I will absolutely stay there again..

This hotel is nice and newly renovated. Some things are a little quirky like lack of light in the room. Very small bathroom. Pluses are good bed, clean room, friendly desk staff, good location. The neighborhood is sketchy west of the hotel and upscale east of hotel so pay attention to which way you go at night but the hotel...
