To start on a positive note, the location of this hotel is great. The staff also makes a genuine effort to be friendly and professional. The doormen are helpful. The bed was very comfortable. Beyond that, this hotel needs something. The restaurant was utterly uninspiring. The breakfast buffet was plain and meh. The room was very small, including the bathroom...

We stayed at this hotel when the power went out in San Francisco. I was glad I was only on the 8th floor. When I went to take the stairs to get to my room one of the gentlemen that work there offered to take me, he was so kind and considerate. Even though the lights were out for almost...

There is nothing fancy about the Marriott Union Square. Take away the 24 hour Walgreens across the street, the Saks a block away, the cable car running just outside, and one of the liveliest--if priciest--restaurant scenes in North America an Uber away, you'd rather stay at the Holiday Inn down by the freeway. It'd have better parking, larger bathrooms, and...

We enjoyed our recent stay and the two highlights were the wonderful doormen and the location. Our room was on the 19th floor so we could see the cable car, but couldn't hear it (which is the best of both worlds)! It was a typical size (in my view) for a city, but we did think the TV was too...

I booked this hotel through Marriott Central Reservations for my 2 daughters and myself, then called directly to the hotel a couple of times to ask a few questions .Each time I called I spoke to Nan at the front desk and she was so helpful and kind. Before we even arrived in San Fran cisco, she was asking if...

The hotel is conveniently located. We walked to the Giants game and easily to Union Square. The elevator was under repair and we waited for fifteen minutes one morning. The room was fine. We were impressed with the staff. The noise was kept to a minimum.

Union Square is a great central location in San Francisco with lots of shops and restaurants right outside the door. This location and hotel served us perfectly during our visit. The cable car runs right by which is convenient as well. Ask for a high floor if possible, we were on 7 and heard the cable car and street noise...

Loved our visit to SF. Weather was exceptionally great. Lots of construction surrounding Union Square but we managed well. Lots of things to do and see. A walkable city and using Uber got us to all the places we wanted to visit.

Stayed here 2 nights in March on the 17th floor. Room was nice and clean. Comfy bed. Great location-one block from Union Square so lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Friendly staff. Slow elevator-one under maintenance.
