Stayed two nights in January, '05 during perfect sunny weather.
This older property has been meticulously renovated with quality materials and attention to detail (e.g., crown moldings in main room and patterned tile work in bath), even though choice of colors and materials of drapery/decor...More
Yep, I have to agree with all those folks who gave the Castle Inn 5 stars. Spacious rooms, clean and tidy, and modern furnishings in excellent condition. No noise or security problems. Central location in a decent neighbourhood, and pretty close to just about anywhere...More
I stayed here for 4 nights in mid December 04 and I loved the place. The free parking was fantastic, always a space and easy to get in and out of. The room was one a good size, the bathroom was a little old, but...More

Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that
followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.

The Cable Cars are only 3 blocks away and there is a bus on the corner that will take you to the Wharf. No need to drive. Ghirardelli Square - the starting point of the Wharf - is only a 15 minute walk.
