The room did not waste space, and had two beds, a long shelf/dresser area to store things, and a bathroom with cabinets, counter space and hooks. It was clean and simple. The location is excellent. Don't expect too much from their breakfast, it was mostly just some single serving yogurts and prepackaged pastries. Their parking lot is convenient but very...

We stayed here because it was the nicest looking but cheapest place with free parking, but we were really pleasantly surprised by how nice it was! Room was lovely and big, really modern bathroom and kitchenette, adequate breakfast, everything you need for a good city break! It was in a good location for us as we like to walk and...

I stayed for 3 nights while I was in San Francisco, this place is a fraction of the price of what other San Fran hotels are and it's still in a really good location. 15/20 minute walk down to the Bay Area and it's right next to Polk street which has loads of places to eat. Free parking is available...

The Castle Inn is the perfect place to launch a budget family vacation in San Francisco. Located adjacent to Polk Street which is filled with great eateries (that the locals frequent) and cool coffee shops and stores. The Wharf area is within walking distance and the walk will take you through Russian Hill past the cable cars and you can...

We really enjoyed this place. Damon at the front desk was very helpful in recommending things to do, places to see, and dining options. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. It is very conveniently located. We walked to Fisherman's Wharf, Curvy Lombard, and many more places. We walked to places to dine. Parking (FREE!) for guests. We were...

This hotel was conveniently located and had a very friendly and helpful staff. Quick and early check in, clean rooms, and close to all aspects of San Francisco. Free parking and WiFi that works. I would recommend this hotel for sure

This is very old and hasn't been renovated for a while. It was comfortable and clean. It had free parking. The bed and pillows were comfortable . It was about 1/2 hour walk to the pier. It was a $10 cab fare. There was convenience stores available about 300 metres away and some nice restaurants close by. It had a...

We had a few days in San Francisco and booked the Castle Inn based on location and price. Its a good location for restaurants, but a bit of a hike down to the wharf. I wouldn't recommend it if you wanted an easy stroll to Fishermans's wharf. Having said that we used Uber to get around and it didn't worry...

Set in a great location for a healthy walk to the Wharf via Lombard St. The room was basic but clean and the breakfast was something to miss! Parking was underground but there was plenty even though we were there in the summer holidays. Taxi ride to the start of the trolley bus which was only $11

Stayed here for a 3 night stay on a family trip. This has motel type feel with rooms off a balcony. Doesn't look the most appealing from outside especially when you arrive late at night however the rooms look to be recently refurbished and are lovely and clean and comfortable. In room coffee machine, microwave and fridge. Breakfast is provided...

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
