We can confirm all the positive comments: great location, free parking, spacious and clean rooms (with in-room safe, flatscreen TV, coffee maker and fridge on request), friendly and helpful staff. Week wifi signal, but most of the time we had internet access. Noise from the nightclub was minimal and didn't bother us.

Great location, clean and obviously recently refurbished rooms, friendly staff, free parking, what more can you want. So some reviews mention the noise, well we were facing the nightclub, but nothing the nights we were there, and the bed is very comfortable! Ok so no breakfast but at the price its no problem to go out and there are plenty...

Excellent location, great free parking. Major drawback: when there are events at Bimbo's, you have to use ear buds to get some sleep. Very noisy. Wifi signal is too weak to be used with smartphones.

This hotel was great value. We had a double queen room and stayed there with our 2 kids. The rooms seemed to be fairly recently renovated, beds very comfortable and a huge flat screen TV. It was certainly in a great location, within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, famous Lombard Street and Little Italy. There was certainly no shortage of...

This hotel is reasonably priced, near all types of public transportation, and has free parking. We were very pleasantly surprised by the room, which was like a mini suite with three queen sized beds. If you're a light sleeper you might request a room off Columbus Avenue, which is heavily traveled, but the street noise did not bother me. We...

This was our destination on a 2-week road trip and we stayed here for 2 nights. Check in was smooth and efficient and we quickly had our keys for the requested 3rd floor room (to reduce the road noise). The room was large, the decor a bit dated. But it was clean and that's most important in my books. Our...

I'm almost hesitant to give a San Francisco hotel that only charges $87 night (includes $5 fee for fridge) + tax and offers free parking and is in such a wonderful locale anything less than 5 stars, but there is always room for improvement. I will touch on the only negative for me and then tell you a bit about...

The location of this hotel can't be beat! It's a quick walk to the trolley lines. There's a bus stop out front. 10 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf and Alcatraz Tours. Free Parking is great too! It's obvious that it's a hotel that's been there a while, but it's not old looking inside. Everything has been redone in the rooms....

Columbus Motor Inn was the cheapest place we could find in San Francisco near Fisherman’s Wharf. The room was comfortable if unspectacular, with a good warm heater. Unfortunately the hotel had no fridge and the internet was dodgy, whist some staff were excellent (Noah) whilst others were less helpful. The great thing about this place was that it was a...

The hotel was extremely clean, the rooms large, the price right, the parking free, and the location was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. We walked everywhere or rode the trolly. We were so pleased, we booked it again for our last night in town after a trip to Napa. We would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and...

Staying in Russian Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner. Combined with several great cafes, restaurants, antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any visitor would gladly leave their heart in San Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world, and make the slow creep downhill past charming period homes. Polk Street is the main drag in this neighborhood, where you will find trendy bars, cafes and shops populated with locals, but for one of the most charming rides in the city, grab a cable car heading up and down Hyde Street.
