Being on a 3 week road trip, the biggest advantage is having a free parking space. Rooms are OK, spacious and pretty clean, but can use some updates. Hotel staff were some very nice and some not so friendly. The guy who checked us out charged our credit card immediately when I returned the keys, even thought upon checking in,...

One of this hotel's nicer features is the on-site secured parking; a real premium for San Francisco, where most other hotels take your car to a remote garage away from, and out of sight of where you're staying. Parking is a real problem in San Francisco. This hotel is very close to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, and many restaurants on...

Good location, walking distance to piers. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had a king room which was a good size, bigger than most hotel rooms. Columbus Inn offers free covered parking. Walking distance to China town. Walking distance to many good eateries. Also close to Lombard Street and cable cars. I would stay there again.

This hotel was perfect for our short stay. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel, this isn't for you in terms of looks, but the staff, free parking, clean rooms & location were everything we were looking for. The hotel is within walking distance to the Wharf, plenty of bars & restaurants & even the Pier to go see...

A short 10 min walk to Fishermans wharf on a busy road. A bus stop right outside . It is a bit tired but clean and roomy. A comfortable king bed made for a good sleep. We could hear traffic and people in the street but it didn't cause us any bother. The desk clerk was friendly and pleasant -...

Stayed here for 1 week, 4 adults in a room it was comfortable clean and a short walk to Fisherman's Wharf & North Beach/Little Italy. So many great food places close by and it is in a quiet and safe street. Highly recommend and great value for money!

We relied on Trip Advisor on advice as to where to stay in San Francisco. Wow, this hotel was spot on! Because we booked so early, we got a very reasonable rate of $128.00 per night. This hotel has a great location on historic Columbus Avenue and is within walking distance of many historic sites including Fisherman’s Wharf and great...

Had a family member in the hospital of which I was emergency contact for. Checked into the hotel, had some confusion about parking that was cleared up, got to the room, and showered. I'd say, for the price, it was worth it from what I saw. I was able to lay down for about 45 minutes. Bed was a bit...

Recently stayed for 3 nights for a family visit to SF. We had two double adjoining rooms which were ideal for five of us. Good amenities and wifi provided, excellent staff service and a good location 15 mins walk to Fishermans Whaft & the Piers. Very good value for money & highly recommended.

This is a gem of a hotel. It is very clean and the staff is wonderful. It is also a short walk to the pier and all of the favorite attractions of San Fran. The rooms are quite at night and the parking is very secure.

Staying in Russian Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner. Combined with several great cafes, restaurants, antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any visitor would gladly leave their heart in San Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world, and make the slow creep downhill past charming period homes. Polk Street is the main drag in this neighborhood, where you will find trendy bars, cafes and shops populated with locals, but for one of the most charming rides in the city, grab a cable car heading up and down Hyde Street.
