We read some negative reviews here so weren't sure what to expect. But we were pleasantly surprised - the room was clean, comfortable and well equipped and the location excellent. There was some traffic noise, but not to an extent that it stopped us sleeping. Service was fine though we didn't have any problems to deal with. Free parking was...

I was really dissapointed with this hotel. It was outrageously overpriced but we booked late and this was all that was left in the area. The front desk was unprofessional and the rooms left a lot to be desired. I'll stay at a Travelodge or Motel 6 before I stay here again. I'm not hard to please but this place...

You get what you pay for here... the room smelled like old wet weather (what you would expect from a hotel near the bay I suppose). Once you get used to the smell, it's hard to ignore the sound of the upstairs neighbor's toilet flushing and the subsequent water trickling down the pipes in your walls- maybe someone just forgot...

So I went there and I was not expecting much but I did not pay much so that's allright. The thing that bug me the most was the day prior to leaving I asked if they could CALL me a taxi to take me to the airport the next morning. So the next morning I check out and I realize...

Very clean and roomy room. Parking is tight but available, so that's OK. I can't imagine anything better for less than twice the price, because it is as good as any of the other Inns (if not better), but was cheaper and better located than them in San Fran.

I do not know if I would stay there again. I appreciate feeling welcome. Meher (lady clerk was great, however, the next day we were greeted by 2 men that could be described as zombies! There presence was not the kind of customer service that is acceptable.

In the past thirty years, I have travelled a great deal on business, both home and abroad. Rare is the hotel that combines everything I desire at an affordable rate. The Francisco Bay Inn is located in downtown San Francisco not far from many of the City's best attractions. The hotel rooms were spotless, well appointed, quiet, and the staff...

First SF experience - sad really. Firstly we were told to come back later to check in after 2 pm when we arrived at 12pm. Then upon returning, we were told they were fully booked! Rather upsetting- especially when we have booked and paid the FULL PRICE at booking already!! She then had to book another hotel (given that we...

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! It was just a few blocks from Fisherman's Wharf, which was absolutely stunning. The front desk was extremely helpful and was able to arrange a tour of San Francisco which brought us to all of the major attractions without the trouble of renting a car or navigating ourselves in unknown territory. Although...

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
