Excellent location, close to business and shopping. Good and friendly staff. Like the idea that breakfast is not included as I do not eat breakfast, only coffee, which was good and available. Will stay at this Best Western next time.

Unlike union sq, there are not many hotels near Civic Center. This BW is a good option for mid-price, comfortable stay. Room option with 2 queens and a pull out means you can sleep a full family or a bunch of friends in one affordable room. A small cafe with brunch options right on the first floor, but subway is...

This is a very nicely decorated hotel and front counter person, Victoria was very nice and helpful with giving my friends and I suggestions on places to see while in town. However, we had two rooms on the second floor that had a lot of black mold under the pull out couch mattresses. Management removed he pull outs and moved...

This site was so perfect for my business trip. I chose to use public transportation or walk and what perfect match. This location has it all!!! BART, Muni, Walking, even garage for drivers. Attached was a great place to eat and have a beer. I have a per diem so it had to fit my budget & did. The staff...

I look forward to staying at this location again when the pool is in operation. The decor is adorable, very retro, has a wonderfully 50s vibe throughout the facility. Really also appreciate the staff's commitment to being as green as possible when it comes to services such as house keeping.

Do not come here anyway you risk buttons all over the body, and you risk infesting your own home with BED BUGS when you return. I stayed at this hotel in January for a business trip to San Francisco, and I came across these bed bugs in my bed. I realized it only the next day when I saw pimples...

Stayed for 4 nights this past weekend - clean and bright - too bad the beds are only doubles but they are comfortable. Wild decor - 1960's colours and style but cool . . . good amenities including tazo tea, coffee maker, hairdryer and decent shampoo. They desperately need plug in points for electronics!!!!! Courtyard style building with outside entry...

The building has been around for a few decades and is in constant need of renovation. Funky 1960s Mad Men decor but still functional. The good: location, prices. The less good: a bit run down and some of the rooms can be noisy.

Dear GlobetrottingSwede, Thank you very much for your review of our hotel. We are currently in the process of refreshing our hotel, by upgrading the flooring in all hallways and exterior corridors, as well as retiling our pool for the forthcoming Summer season, not to mention, we have added A/C units to most of our rooms, and all rooms will...

The "ups" were central location and low price ($90.00 per night on Priceline Express). One of the downs was parking was quoted when we arrived at $35.00 per night. If you become a Best Western Award Member (free) you pay $25.00 per night. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR BILL WHEN YOU LEAVE! The hotel billed bit of our rooms for...

Dear Greenvilledan, We certainly appreciate that you took the time to share your review about your recent stay with us. Regarding our parking charge, parking is certainly a challenge in San Francisco, as with every metropolitan city in the United States. We pride ourselves in offering parking at a value compared to that of our competitor hotels that charge in...

Location not included, I give this hotel 5 stars out of 5. Staff goes out of its way to make sure your stay is fantastic. Check in Friday and they still know your name on Sunday. When you walk in the door they say welcome back. The facility is very well kept for an older building. Retro 50's style but...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
