This place surprised us. Great location short walk to fisherman's wharf and walkable to financial district and pier 1. Pier 39 also within reach and you work up an appetite. Other eateries and bars close by.
Breakfast very limited but loads of coffee and pastries....More

Dear Vicki, We loved your review. Thank you for sharing your comments. We would love to be your property of choice for this area. Best wishes, Hotel Management.
Bad on multiple levels. No one at the desk when we first entered. We waited, waited and finally said, "Hello??" A very unhappy desk clerk who had been sitting behind a counter (within earshot), got up still wiping her face, came to the desk to...More

We stayed at Buena Vista Inn in the spring of 2016. We had chosen the hotel for its location, free parking and breakfast and none of that disappointed. It is located on the Lombard Street, about 2-3 blocks from the crooked street and close to...More

We usually stay on Lombard Street because of it's value, bus stops, and nearby restaurants on Union and Chestnut. Buena Vista is among the best, partly because of its proximity to Van Ness, cleanliness, breakfast, and bus stop. Walk .7 miles to Ghiradelli Sq. Bus...More

We had a good experience at the Buena Vista. Our room with two queen beds wasn’t large but big enough to do the job. We chose a room overlooking Lombard which was probably louder than facing inside but had a decent street view. The bath...More

Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.
With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
