Small boutique hotel, convenient, clean, friendly and wonderfully redone light new bathrooms, whats not to love! Prefer smaller hotels, and this one I would highly recommend. Staff wonderful and efficient. Tour desk booked my rental car, arranged to have it delivered, it arrived exactly on time. Great job! Love this hotel. Great restaurant next door too, can't remember the name,...

I spent two nights in S.F. at the Chancellor Hotel. First, the location is great, on Powell St. one half block from Union Square. My room was clean and well appointed. Nice flat screen TV., comfortable bed and pillows (they have several options) and a great shower. Decline housekeeping and for every night after the first you receive a free...

We stayed here in March. The hotel room was one of the most charming rooms I have ever seen! We had a room with two twin beds and it was small--but very efficient. The bathroom was tiny but the tub? It was a fabulous deep tub with bath salts provided. Despite the size, it was completely top notch. The beds...

Wonderful hotel in great location! Close to BART and Cable cars. We had two twin beds in a small room but the bathroom exceeded expectations. Very nice, classic black and white tile look. Lots of amenities in bathroom! Very clean. Walk-in closet. Loved opening the windows at night (we stayed in March). Super helpful staff at front desk and concierge....

For the prices of SF it was very good. And this hotel is no less than Francis Drake of Serrano, both are rated higher. The room was great, up to the date and very clean. Good speed free internet. Problem was that the pressure in the shower was not impressive at all. Also it was not clear to me if...

The hotel offers a wonderful location and reasonable prices given its location. Clean rooms and a restaurant serving a really good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff and adjacent to the elevators are inspiring quotes from authors, philosophers, etc. Highly recommended. If you are looking for a Marriott type of hotel, this is not the place.

I couldn't commend the staff enough here, they were so helpful, polite and friendly. The hotel is right on union Square and a little walk up the hill from Powell BART station. The hotel put on endless supplies of tea and coffee in reception along with cookies in the morning and popcorn in the afternoon. We didn't eat in the...

Wonderful staff, nice amenities. Rooms are nicely decorated and super clean. Old world with a contemporary vibe. Location is great. Be sure to use your 2-1 cocktail coupon- Alicia is a great bartender.

The hotel is ideally located just off, (by about 1 minute walk) Union Square. The hotel is old style with a retro feel very tastefully done. All public areas and the rooms were very clean and attractively decorated in green and cream. Although not the largest of rooms, there is adequate space for two in the standard queen bed rooms,...

This is a great little hotel in Union Square, right by the trolly station and super close to the BART as well. Friendly staff and nice clean rooms. Also, don't miss the breakfast in the restaurant just behind the lobby, as good as any of the nearby places at a cheaper price.
