I wish that my experience was better here but unfortunately it left a lot to be desired. My cousin had a wedding in June here and I stayed here from Friday night to Sat for this event. Got a little discount because of the wedding...More

better. The service was great, the food was great and what could be better than a birds eye view of San Francisco and the Bay area.
When planning for our 25th Wedding Anniversary trip to San Francisco I took a lot of time selecting the hotel. I picked the Mark Hopkins for what it promised to offer, superb service, historic setting, and an unforgettable stay.

I flipped a coin between the Mark Hopkins and the Intercontinental south of Market where I had stayed previously. They are two entirely different experiences and, on balance, I've concluded that the newer cousin is the one for me.

Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that
followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
