We enjoyed our stay in September very much. Excellent service, very clean and tidy, a very familiar atmosphere, nice breakfast. Good starting point for all events you want to do in Frisco. The tram stops only few steps from the accommodation. Not negative, but to say, you haven´t your own bath and restroom - you have to share it with...

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was amazing. Between the comfortable rooms, the friendly staff, the great location, and the reasonable price, I cannot say enough great things about the Willows. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready with a suggestion on where to go or what to do. Their dining recommendations were always on point. Different...

3 of us got there straight out of Burning Man, with tons of dust and bikes. The guys didn't even flinch. Incredible service all the way through, got everything we needed and more. Super clean, very well located, amazing breakfast, right on the BART station, close to Castro and the Mission, great amenities, very affordable. We had an amazing time,...

Very well located in San Francisco, near to bus stop and underground station, the Willows Inn is a quiet place to stay next to Castro and Mission. Several restaurants are nearby and it's not too far from SFO international. The bed and breakfast has very charming rooms, wide and clear, but not all of them. I stayed in a family...

I used to live in the City for 20 years and have referred people to this place many times over the years and decided to try it myself on my next trip. I was very pleased with the reservation process and the information they provided on the room and the parking situation If you are driving and checking in I...

The best little guest house in the city by far. Wonderful staff and comfortable clean rooms with great breakfast, all for a really reasonable price . Centrally based on 14th near Castro and the old Mint building . A short tram ride down market to the wharves. You won't be disappointed . Anything u need- just ask the staff. They...

It was a comfortable stay of 9 nights in SF from 12-21 Aug 2016. The place was nicely furnished, coming across as comfy. The room I stayed in had enough space to not feel cramped in. Staff were professional and helpful. Great location, less than 1 min walking distance from Church station, and good eats around the area. A downside...

I was recommended to the Willows Bed and Breakfast by a gay friend who was local to SF. It did not disappoint. Though I was in a room facing the street, the traffic noise did not bother me, the sunlight streaming through the windows did! All the rooms I think share a bath, but this was not a problem as...

I knew I was in good hands when I received very quick confirmation for the dates that I wanted and this set the tone for a great stay. My room was scrupulously clean with a really comfortable bed and for people with worries about shared showers/toilets - don't! Both were always available when I wanted them and always very clean....

Clean room, friendly staff, impeccable all round. They serve the best continental breakfast around -- fresh fruit, quality granola, and great coffee. Ideally located on the line between the Mission and the Castro, near the Muni station. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in San Francisco!

Thank Tom D

Staying in The Castro

Neighbourhood Profile
The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighbourhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighbourhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theatres and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.
