Very welcoming, comfortable and friendly inn. Nice wine reception and great breakfast. Exceptionally clean and lovely rooms and common areas. We look forward to staying at the Parker Guest House again!

Needed a place to stay for three nights in San Francisco and the choices are overwhelming. Settled on the Parker House and it was a great decision. At first, the location seemed removed from all the tourist things we wanted to see. But after spending the day in a noisy, busy city, this was a welcoming and quiet place in... More

Parker House is a vintage gem. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a comfortable room. Breakfast was served in the kitchen and enclosed porch with seating inside as well as in well tended gardens. Late afternoon wine and snacks were enjoyable. it is convenient to places to eat and public transportation to downtown. Staff was attentive and even arranged... More

I have just spent the most amazing time at Parker Guest House. I literally want to live there! Scott made me welcome from the moment I arrived until the moment he placed our bags in our 'farewell... But not good bye' taxi! This place is an absolute gem... I will be recommending it to everyone I know visiting San Francisco.... More

While SF city hotels and Airbnb rates continue to rise, the Parker maintains a high quality, friendly environment with great facilities. The rooms are well appointed with a charming courtyard in a fun, truly San Fran neighborhood. You could not find more friendly and accommodating staff. I worked all day post check out in one of the lounges. Thank you... More

We only stayed one night, but wished we were here longer! When you stay at Parker house, you immediately feel like you've temporarily escaped the busyness of San Francisco. The house is between Castro and Mission neighborhoods, both which seem to be very nice and fun to walk around. The house is directly on the tram line as well, so... More

We stayed for two nights and it was fantastic. Great welcome, fantastic accommodations, charming staff, fantastic location. The room was very well appointed. The house itself is very well restored. We brought a picnic back and asked for some cutlery and plates and got glasses, cutlery, plates, bowls, and napkins all on serving tray. I'm hotel spoiled after working a... More

I happily discovered this charming, beautiful guesthouse on a recent trip to San Francisco. It is ideally located in the Castro neighborhood of San Francisco and near to many of San Francisco's most visited landmarks. The staff could not have been more helpful or attentive, and made my trip much more enjoyable and less stressful than it otherwise would have... More

Visited here from Australia for a week. I found the staff very robotic but that's quite normal for Americans in the service industry. Our room faced the road so the Muni train passing every half an hour vibrating the room was irritating. Wine social hour was a nice touch but the small breakfast room it was served in was cramped... This b&b is on a quiet street in the Castro, easy access to most of the city...beautifully appointed, maintained and run, the rooms, the common areas & the gardens are immaculate. While the breakfast is adequate if not remarkable, everything else about this property is 1st rate, especially when you factor in the very reasonable rates...

Staying in The Castro

Neighbourhood Profile
The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighbourhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighbourhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theatres and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.
