Our room, including the bed, was very comfortable, even without air conditioning. A minor plumbing issue brought maintenance within minutes. Management was extremely helpful. Both elevators and room wi-fi all worked well. We did not mind the city noises. Location was great, within walking distance of cable cars, street car lines, Chinatown. Easily took the light rail to AT&T Park...

We really enjoyed this hotel. The location can't be beat- it's about a half a block from Union Square. We are the type of travelers who use the hotel to sleep and bathe, so this location was great for us. I believe it's considered a "personality" hotel, with a lot of cool artwork. The staff was friendly and helpful. We...

Located right near Union Square. Check in was easy. Staff was friendly. Parking plan is the way to go. Rooms were very nice. Beds are super comfortable. No air conditioning, but it stays cool in San Francisco so it wasn't an issue.

We stay in SF twice a year usually. This was our first stay at the Kensington. It is located two minutes from Union Square, and near many large hotels. We did have WiFi accessiblity in our room; the room was serviced and kept very clean; the front desk and concierge were very helpful, and the linens and amenities were good....

I believe I have to mark this hotel down because of two related things: One of the elevators wasn't working and talking with another guest who stays there every year, she told me that, "this is always the case". Secondly, when it came time to check out, it was impossible to get a luggage trolley (we had a pile of...

Ended our week long driving trip in San Fransisco, found this gem by fluke. Great location, we walked out our door turned left and in less then 2 min we were on Union Square. Here is a tip, if you are taking the on/off bus tour, they let off at Union Square. The rooms are smaller but it is considered...

The Kennsington Hotel in SF is a great place to stay. Here is my list of pro's and con's, but as you can see, there is not much to complain about Pros Great location, close to BART station (the train that will get you to the city from airport, which I highly recommend as it costs a fraction of the...

This hotel is a great value if you're looking for somewhere to stay near Union Square without breaking the bank. It's a quick walk to the Square, 10-15 minutes to Chinatown or Market Street, and another 25-30 minutes to the Piers. The rooms were comfortable and well furnished. The lobby also provided ice water and tea 24 hours a day,...

We stayed here for 5 nights on a recent trip to San Fran, and I don't think we could have got a better hotel for location at the price - 30 sec walk and you're on Union Square. Hotel and rooms are very clean, and the staff very very helpful & friendly - definitely a must stay for anyone planning...

This was my first experience with an SF hotel, so take it with a grain of salt. I would have given this hotel three dots instead of four, but we got a really good deal on it. I also want to say up front that the staff is adorable. They are so sweet and friendly and accomodating, they could not...
