Let me start this review with a disclaimer. My wife loved the place and I thought it was one of the worst hotels I have ever been in. She loved the romance of being in a very old hotel with an old tiny elevator and old creaky floors. For me it was the opposite.... 1. The hotel is located on...

I enjoyed my stay here very much. I am in a lower tiered hotel in SF about 3 times a year and I would stay here every time now that I have found it, if I can get the same deal I got this time (from Hotels.com). I booked about a month in advance and got such a good rate...

Maks you feel like some 30-40 years ago. Bit weary, but still good. Good location, historic elevator. Suite is perfect for two, dont know about the standart rooms. Breakfast very basic, just coffee, tea, pastries and some fruit.

It's not what we thought it would be. First thing, there is no AC so we were lucky it wasn't to warm out. Rooms were still warm and it was 50-60 F out. Rooms are small but clean. Car parking is 48$ day which seems about average for the area. We are on the 3rd floor, small stairway or old...

The Fino Ristorante is in the lobby of this hotel. Visited on business for dinner one night; laughed out loud to ourselves..."We simply must come visit on our own time and stay right here in this little hotel..." never going to happen. But the "never" came and the restaurant is only open in the evenings after 5pm so we had...

The hotel is in a great location only a couple of minutes walk from Union Square. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the complimentary glass of wine at 5pm each day was very welcome. The only negative for us was the size of the bathroom which was very cramped (we were in room 508). That said the shower...

We were supposed to stay three days but left on the first because of how cramped the entire hotel was. No A/C they said the bed was a king but it was definitely a full. The WiFi didn't wotk, the TV was the size of a laptop screen, and don't bother taking a shower because it pools up and becomes...

My husband and I stayed at the Andrews Hotel during the hottest days of the year in San Francisco this past September. There is no air conditioning at the hotel and with temperatures in high 80s, we had to open the window. The problem with the open window though was the street noise as it was so loud with honking...

Very disappointed, hotel needs desperate renovation especially reception area. I think we must have been allocated the worst room in the hotel, bed pushed to wall and u can't get out and the bathroom was only ok if u was under 10 not suitable for adults and we are both of small frame. Breakfast was ridiculous and served on a...

A quaint place to stay close to the heart of San Francisco. Fruit and pastries for breakfast and warm coffee on all day. Walking distance to union station and the cable cars. Street cars also within walking distance. Good value for the location.
