My fiance and I had a wonderful and relaxing trip. Be careful of pick picketers in this area. I thought I was being very careful about to make sure this didn't happen, please take precautionary measures. We still had a wonderful trip, but a very frustrating ending to our trip due to thieves.

I got this hotel at a great rate, so it was a very good deal. Clean, cozy rooms, excellent staff (full of suggestions, always accommodating). In a great location, we hopped on and off the trolley at the end of the block throughout the entire stay - the Walgreen's on the corner sells passes. The place is small but totally...

I was recommended to this chain of Hotels, and the Rex was the one I chose. This was my first time to San Fran and the staff were very helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. The complimentary wine at night was fantastic, and Dave the barman had many tips and guides for a solo female traveller. The rooms were quaint, clean,...

This was a fantastic stay. We were going to spend just two nights and travel on, but ended up staying for four since we liked it so much. The location is perfect and the hotel seems to be a magnet for creative and nice people; in a sense, it's an embodiment of the city itself. The decore is artistic and...

Rex Hotel is in a good location, the staff is nice and the room was quite and big enough for us with our 4 suitcases. The bar/ restaurant is pleasant and we had a glass of wine every night for free. The price is fair.

This little boutique hotel is in a great location (literally a 2 minute walk from union square). It was quiet and laid back (even a free wine hour every evening!) This was a really charming hotel. The rooms were exceptionally clean with large, incredibly comfortable beds, a huge t.v (not that we used it much as we were too busy...

Booked Hotel Rex online directly with the hotel, so didn't know what to expect. TA reviews were all very positive so that was a plus. We had booked a double double room as our son was travelling with us. Room was clean and housekeeping staff was great. Our friends booked a king room and this was much bigger than our...

Discovered the Rex a few years ago when we got priced out of the Monaco and the Triton. Now, we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. Everything about it is, for me, perfect. Location just a half block from Powell Street cable car (we always ask for a room on a high floor on the Powell Street side so we...

We go to San Francisco once or twice a year and have stayed very often at another boutique hotel. Last year we had a bad experience and decided to try something else. We like the area to the west of Union Square and prefer small boutique hotels or b&bs. We chose the Hotel Rex and loved it. Wonderful location. Terrific...

My family and I travel frequently to San Francisco and are always on the lookout for a comfortable, convenient hotel at a good price. We found it at Hotel Rex, located near Union Square. The staff were very accommodating (they let us check in at 11 am!) and the rooms were pleasant and well equipped. My kids had a double...
