Our family group stayed 4 nights from April 12th to April 16th 2017. We booked one suite and two king rooms (one with an extra bed) We booked the suite in order that we could all get together over breakfast or at other times during the day to plan our sight seeing. The accommodation was very good indeed and the...

The ONLY reason to stay at this motel is if you are traveling to SF by car and looking for an easy parking, included with the price. Its old, shabby, far from the city centre, with grumpy staff and great view of garbage dumpster. We had to change rooms and both had awful "decor", views and musty, moldy smell. Yaks.

We arrived quite late with BA having left my luggage back in the UK. We had a further mix up with my partner's bag. The hotel staff were great, they arranged a taxi to the airport and tried to help us sort the issue. This was a stressful situation made better by the staff. Any of the hotel staff we...

My daughter and I were in the city for her surgery at the California pacific medical center which was about 7 blocks from the hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and modern, no funky smells, walking distance to many restaurants right there on the same block. They do not have mini fridges in the rooms, so I...

Nice hotel. Room was very clean. The one downfall was that our view from our room was the back of a restaurant next door. Basically a dumpster view. Not very nice. Overall our stay was satisfactory. Close to alot of restaurants and shopping and not far from Fisherman's Wharf.

This hotel is conveniently located in the marina district, extremely close to restaurants and attractions. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel has FREE Parking which is an unbelievable benefit in San Fran! Rooms are dated but extremely clean.

This hotel has free parking, clean rooms, near Mel's diner, Peets coffee and lots of stores and shops. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was not on the main street so it was quiet. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in SF.

I loved my stay at the Cow Hollow Inn. The staff is fantastic, and the neighborhood is lovely. We stayed in a room overlooking Lombard street, and although we could hear the sounds of the streets, it didn't bother us, because that's what city life is all about. The view was beautiful. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance, and...

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
