Very pleased with my room on 4th floor. Not big but big enough for my needs. Breakfast good but with somewhat limited choice. Nice view from top floor where breakfast is served. Staff pleasant and reasonably efficient. Did take a few minutes to have my room ready even though I arrived at 2 pm. Wall to neighboring room not paper...

The hotel is clean, personel kind and professional, rooms very comfortable and breakfast ok. The only problem is the location (although very central) in an area with a bad reputation. But i never had the feeling to be in danger, just the presence of so many homeless made me uncomfortable.

Stayed at the Cova for 11 nights. While I would not have walked through the neighborhood by myself at night, I felt perfectly comfortable having a second person with me. The people on the street surrounding the hotel were destitute, but not dangerous. We arrived late on Thanksgiving evening, had planned to meet a friend in a restaurant and the...

As many before have said this hotel is in the tenderloin district, and just down the road from a church that offers meals to the homeless in the area. We took the BART train from the airport to the civic centre station (only $8.25 each, so good value and quick), and walking up Hyde with suitcases in tow felt a...

This hotel is in the worst part of San Francisco...so be ready for that (I wasn't). There are food banks near and the homeless/mentally unsound flock here. We felt very unsafe. We took taxis back and didn't go out at night because the area was super sketchy. The hotel room was nice and spacious/clean, but other factors really made our...

Dear Tonya F., Thank you for sharing your experience with us and I regret that we didn't meet your expectations. We are located in the tenderloin, which is very unique part of San Francisco; however, we do not hide that from our guests. Our front desk agents are so knowledgeable advising our guests which area or streets to pass up...

With regards the hotel, it is difficult to fault it. The staff, rooms and breakfast were all good. The free shuttle down town was appreciated although availability is limited to the number of seats so book in advance. The area is known as the 'Tenderloin' and is a focus for homeless people. We arrived around 2pm and had to walk...

I had decided for the region and checking reviews and pictures gained confidence. Stayed with the family during Thanksgiving holidays and the positive aspects are: excellent breakfast when compared to chains like Best Western, Holiday Inn, La Quinta; bathroom and room are new; offers transportation to Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf, two locations you'll be there more than once; buses...

The walk to the hotel can be a little unsettling at first but when you arrive you'll find this hotel to be really good. The nearby streets have great value food and drinks. The hotel has free WiFi and breakfast included. Buses and street cars nearby can get you to all the tourist locations downtown. My TV remote control was...
