I spent a week at Naknek River Camp. It is a fishing camp and not a romantic getaway for you and your honey. That is not wat they advertise. Great place if you are interested in fishing only. Cabin: Was clean. My cabin had a chemical toilet. Some cabins have full facilities. The bathhouse was clean and shower water was...

Best bang for your buck that you are going to find. Some of the most prime Wild Rainbow water there is along all species of Pacific salmon, pike you name it, it's there. There are "posher" lodges with fancier meals but the daily rates of those lodges compare with the weekly rate at NRC. They are on a great peice...

Venue delivers exactly what it says on the tin. Amazing fishing, first class guides, spectacular scenery and, oh yes, the Bears. Visit to Brooks Falls (included in programme) an absolute, unforgettable, must! Cabins are clean, warm and comfortable but could do with improved toiletting facilities such as running water and showers. Communal block is adequate but results in 'queueing' early...

One of the guides/ family friend Chad Bryson has been after a group of us to come out and fish in Alaska with him for years. He recently went to work for the Johnson's at the Naknek River Camp. When he told us about the trip we couldn't believe we could do everything for the price. Next thing I know...

My wife and I are repeat visitors at the Johnson Family’s Naknek River Camp. We have fished out of the camp for the last five years and some of those years we made two trips, one early season trip for the Sockeye run and another late season trip for big Rainbows. We are both experienced anglers and for the price...

I stayed at Naknek River Camp in July of 2014 and had a fantastic time. The cabins are rustic but clean and ours had a full bathroom with shower. The camp runs on generators so there are lights and outlets to charge camera batteries or use your computer in your cabin. Each cabin has heat for the chilly evenings. There...

Great rustic fishing camp. Wearing your waders to dinner is not only welcome but expected so you can take advantage of the great after dinner fishing. Real value for the fisherman. Family friendly owners who live the Alaskan life with their wonderful kids. They go out of their way to make you feel part of the family and to make...

I had the pleasure of spending a week in June 2014 at Naknek River Camp fly fishing for trophy rainbows. The owners, Jim and Phyllis, were great hosts. This is a family affair, their son James being one of the top river guides on the Naknek, and son Hunter working in the kitchen. All the guides were excellent and very...

If you are a serious fisherman and if you love catching wild fish, this is a must visit place. Rated number 1 in Alaska for big rainbows (I got a 30 inch fish and numerous 20-26) the Naknek River is right out your front door. Most groups will also get a trip to the Brooks River (rated #3 in AK...
