The nice folks that run the hotel were super helpful. They picked me up from the Airport, (which I should have walked) they showed me where the nearby grocery was and helped me get to where I was working. The rooms are a bit dated, 1980's dated. They are a lot nicer on the inside. Everything worked well!! The service truly earned the 4 stars!!
We arrived on a Sat as our flight to a fishing lodge was to leave Sun at 10 am. Because of COVID and Katmai Park being closed (which is where the Antler's get a lot of their clients), Flora upgraded our one night stay from a room to a full apartment as well as telling us we should go to the grocery store to buy breakfast foods as the only 2 restaurants in town were closed on Sun. Then when our Sun flight was delayed to 5 pm and will had to kill all day in King Salmon, she gave us a list of local fishing guides to contact so we didn't have to sit around till 5. She kept our luggage at the lodge for us while we fished. On our return home the following Sun., we were to fly from our remote lodge to KS then onto Anchorage. Waiting around in the bar for our flight, we found out our flight was cancelled and we had to spend the night in KS again. When I called her, she immediately gave us one of the last rooms (again the upgraded apartment!) and we were able to include a friend in the booking. The units are old but very clean and the beds are comfortable. The owners couldn't be more accommodating and friendly.…
I had outstanding communication and service from this lodge in King Salmon. I had booked four days/three nights in order to visit Katmai NP/Brooks Falls via the local water taxi. Unfortunately, the taxi service aborted their 2020 season, leaving me with a rather useless lodging reservation. While they have a "no refund" policy, they were empathetic to my situation and provided my 10% deposit back in full. This is what GOOD companies do during such adverse times. I don't know that I'll ever be in the position to go to Brooks Falls or to stay in King Salmon, but if I do, Antlers Inn has earned my trust and business in the future.
Booked as one of few options to visit karmas national park Close to airport Comfortable room Ran out of hot water. Owner credited for inconvenience Allowed us rouse an empty room waiting for flight as small airport had no place to fit or have wifi
Last minute stay due to flight cancellation and the staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean and walking distance to store and restaurants. Offered free shuttle from airport. This locally owned spot is quaint and good location.
