Our room had a nice view and at an affordable price. Room was large and bed comfortable. Clean hotel with nice amenities, including a lounge in evening, coffee throughout day and a free breakfast area. Only drawback was that we did not take into account the balconies outside rooms and the noise that would filter in from cars parking/leaving, their...

We had a great experience at the Bluenose Inn. We paid a bit extra to stay in Mizzentop (the name for their main building) on a higher floor with a view and it was SO worth it. We had a balcony with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The building is older but has all the modern updates to make...

The Bluenose is good but could use some improvements. The rooms were clean and spacious (we were upgraded to a better room after some issues with our check-in) and had excellent views. The location was great, about a 5 minute drive to downtown Bar Harbor. Our room had a working fireplace in it and there is live piano music in...

We booked this hotel since it was our nearest commute to the Cadillac Mountain and Bar Harbor considering we stayed on the island just for a day. We were traveling from Quebec City and the weather was awful as we were nearing the island and the lady at the front desk was so kind enough to call us and enquire...

Arrived for a 3 night stay and was met with a friendly staff. My room was large, clean and comfortable. Be sure and visit the "Great Room" for evening drinks. Bill Trowell is a very accomplished piano player in the Great Room and loves to take requests - a great way to relax at the end of the day. Breakfast...

We arrived at 2 PM on a Sunday for a 7 day stay late in the season (2 weeks before they closed up shop). They informed us that our room was not ready as 3 PM is normal check in time. We said okay and we would return at about 3 to check in. We had stayed at a Lafayette...

We had a lovely, large room with traditional furniture. There was plenty of room to open both our suitcases (this had been a problem in other hotels). There was also a table and comfortable chairs, and a desk. Our view was of the pool and the harbor. The amenities were top of the line, including cookies and coffee/tea in the late...

The setting and grounds are superb! The staff was kind enough to give us a room in the back building with a great view. The indoor pool area is spotless, the pool warm, the usage low so nice and peaceful.

This is a great place to stay in Bar Harbor. Our room in the main (Mizzentop) building overlooked Frenchman Bay, Bar Island, and the huge cruise ships--great view!. Leave the draperies open and let the morning sun wake you. We had a large double room w/fireplace. There was a double vanity in the bath and a coffee station with mini...
