Certificate of Excellence
Spectacular Ocean and Mt Views await your arrival from the private hilltop location overlooking Frenchman Bay, the Porcupine Islands, and the Mountains of Acadia National Park. Hampton Bar Harbor is NEW and is located just one mile from the hustle and bustle of the Harbor activities, restaurants, and shops in downtown Bar Harbor; accessible by car (2 min.), walking (active guests - 15 min.), and the free Island Explorer Shuttle (late June - early Oct). It's hilltop location is peaceful and quiet, and the property itself provides easy access to all amenities (heated pools, large fitness room, complimentary hot breakfast, business & kid centers, outdoor patios, suite shop, etc.), all within one structure. Acadia National Park is just one mile from the hotel, with easy access for biking carriage paths, driving up Cadillac Mt, and exploring the Park Loop Rd. A Harbor View guest room with balcony, will provide the very BEST experience in Bar Harbor for watching a spectacular sunrise!

I really had no issues at all which is great. Checking in was easy and the staff was friendly. The room seemed new and was very clean. It was in a quiet area. The views from the room were outstanding. Overall my stay was pretty perfect. Would love to stay again

The Hampton Inn at Bar Harbor, Maine is the best Hampton Inn I have ever experienced. The location is fabulous - offering views of the mountains and the ocean from the guest rooms. The staff of this pristinely kept hotel is welcoming, and each one went above and beyond to make

A little off the beaten path, but a very nice hotel with great staff. Excellent breakfast and facilities overall. Quiet area with great access to Acadia National Park. I'd stay hear again if visiting Bar Harbor.

The room was very expensive and nothing fancy but it was a place to stay and we enjoyed it. We were in the suite with our group of 4 adults (2 married, 2 single) and the suite had 2 queen beds and a hide-a-bed. We arrived after dark and could see nothing. We had thought from the

The hotel is a typical Hampton, which I find almost always very nice. The location of the hotel is great for a view of the bay and is convenient for heading into town for a bite to eat. The rooms are nice and I found the breakfast provided to be one of the better that I've had.

Hi! I have a question: Is it correct that reservations for 2019 will not open until January 1, 2019? We very, very much want to stay at this hotel in June 2019, and want to make sure we snag a reservation. Thank you for any help you can provide!
We are hoping to be taking reservations for the 2019 season sometime in the month of November or early December of 2018. Thanks for your inquiry and we look forward to having you as a guest. June is a wonderful time to visit before peak season in July and August.

We want to plan our first visit there in October for Fall foliage. How are the veiws from this hotel? Is there a way to book a room with a specific view?
Some have ocean view but it’s a far view. If you really want to be near the ocean, there are better hotels in the waterfront of Bar Harbor with similar price range. We used points to stay in this hotel and wanted to extend our stay, they asked over $400 while the oceanfront hotel, Modern and nicer ones were cheaper. So be careful... it’s a standard Hampton Inn, nothing special. The price is high now as it’s simmer season but fall the prices will definitely come down and in my opinion I’ll stay in waterfront for the view and town and nice walks!

Hello - we're planning on being in Bar Harbor sometime around mid June next year. How far in advance will I be able to make reservations?
We booked in early March for an early July trip, and we had our fingers crossed with each click of the mouse. That said, July is more popular than June - I have been told. My suggestion? I’d book at least 6 months ahead. I would also recommend you speak with the hotel about booking for your June visit. The staff there was excellent and I’m confident they’ll give you even better insights. Have a great trip!

What is the closest park entrance Acadia? Which part of the park is the entrance closest to? Can we get our car parking pass there? Thanks
The Hulls Cove Visitor Center is located approx 1/2 to 1 mile north of the Hampton Inn on Route 3. In fact, we stopped by the Visitor Center first to purchase our park pass on our way to check in at the Hampton Inn. It was very convenient...and we picked up our maps, etc. at the Center. The National Park employee’s there were a great help! A heads up: if you decide to check in at the hotel first and then go back to the Visitor Center the hotel’s front desk staff will give you printed directions given all the construction on the northbound lane of route 3. Hope that helps...and have a great visit!!

Do you allow small friendly (shihtzu) dog?
No, pets are not allowed at the hotel. We are happy to help you find a nice property in Bar Harbor that does allow pets. Thanks for asking.
