I agree with previous reviewers' comments totally. We stayed at Founder's Cottage which is the original home of Ollie and Kelli. It is rather plain on the outside but so beautiful and comfy inside, especially the 2 cushy leather rocker recliners. They swivel so we got great views of the cove. Ollie and Kelli are so terrific. ..they allowed us...

Absolutely loved it hear and would go back again in a second! The Owner can always be found for questions. The cottages are exceptionally clean and no cleaning cover up smell. They are in a wooded area away from the highway noise nestled in among the trees and looking out on the bay. Canoes and Kyacks are there for your...

We stayed at Windward Cottages after an recommendation by a friend. We had cottage #2. It had a great view, right on the water. It was nice, clean, and peaceful. My 5 yr old loved exploring the shore at low-tide. It is located close to Bar Harbor, but on the other side of the island away from the hustle and...

Winward has approx 5 cottages on a cove a short drive from Bar Harbor/Acadia national park. We were visiting to go to Acadia and the location was great. When we pulled in we were surprised how close we were to the water. The kids were excited, especially when they saw the kayaks and canoes. The owner greeted us and couldn't...

In late May 2014 my family and I decided to head to Maine to experience Acadia National Park. In order to get a true flavor for some peace and quiet I decided to rent a cottage on the water. I found Windward Cottages after searching the web and it turned out to be a true gem. The owners Ollie and...

I have never stayed at a cottage before, but I'm glad I tried this place. It was awesome. This isn't in the middle of town, but it is only 15 minutes away. The kitchen was stocked with everything you needed to cook. Everything was clean, no funky smells. We only stayed a couple of nights, but I wish we could...

I searched online and found this rental after much deliberation. It was totally perfect for our family of 4. We had a king bed and our boys had their own twins in our 2 bedroom cottage. It was immaculately clean and spacious with everything we needed, other than the little mosquitoes that were everywhere in Maine. Canoeing in the mornings...

We spent a week at the windward cottages, while visiting Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, and loved this little gem. The cottage had everything we could need, was located on a beautiful bay (where we went clamming and searching for mussels at low tide and ventured into the bay on the complimentary kayaks during high tide), and was just...

The owners are wonderful , the cottages are comfortable, very clean , beautiful views, quiet , there is nothing bad to say about "Windward" . Now live in Colorado , not as easy to go since moving from Maryland BUT we will...

The cottages, are clean, simple comfortable and have all the amenities you could need. The location is close to Acadia and Bar Harbor, and its quiet. Personally I wanted to camp out, but the wife...
