Beware!!! this Motel run by the most deceitful staff will charge your card at time of booking. They will promise to credit your card but never will. They will not respond to text or phone calls. Have alerted my credit card co. To go after this unscrupulous merchant. Their website claims you won't be charged unless it is after the 7 day period. This Motel is not a member of the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce. Don't even consider this corrupt business no matter how tempting the cheap rate. They don't merit even 1 Star.
The room smelled musty i called robbins hotell across the way and asked for a bathroom plug for the tub the lady was rude about it beds were hard as a rock and u only get only pillow floor stunk bad the sink plug broke
We recently stayed at the Acadia Pines Motel and had a terrible experience. I booked over the phone and paid for the first night ahead of time. When we arrived to check in at 8:00pm, there was no one in the office. I pushed the white button (which looked to be on a router), but no one came. No one came to check us in until I called the phone number several times. When we got to our room, the windows were all open and the room smelled strongly of ammonia. We soon realized this was to cover up the mildew smell. The ceiling was stained black with mold and mildew in the main living area. We stayed for a total of three nights since no other places had vacancy on short notice. Each morning, we would wake up and the floor was damp. The bathroom floor was always wet. The room was never cleaned while we stayed there. We were unable to ever resolve any issues as there was never anyone available in the office. Then to top it all off, we were given a rate of $174 including tax and fees, but when I received my credit card statement, we were charged $250 a night instead. I was never able to get the staff of Acadia Pines to return a call or provide me with a receipt detailing why I was charged more than the rate that I had signed for. This motel is the worst I've ever stayed in. The cleanliness and service don't warrant the exorbitant price. Avoid this place at all costs!…
We made a reservation to stay for two nights starting Oct. 16 2021. Just two hours after we finalized the reservation, my Covid test came out positive. We contacted the motel, kindly asking for a refund. Not only they refused, they were completely silent to my inquiries after that. I wrote them at least three emails. No response. They must be glad they made a little bit of easy money out of an unforseen health problem.
Acadia Pines was very clean and the room was in good repair. For the price we paid, we did not expect extra amenities. The room was very small (we stayed in the lowest priced room) but adequate. It even had a refrigerator and microwave. It was conveniently located close to Bar Harbor.
We recently stayed at Acadia Pines Motel. This is a 1* hotel at best, with a 3* price. The office staff were not present on arrival and an earlier phone call was not answered. After pushing a white (dirty gray) button on a remote receiver the office staff arrived. The woman was brusque and acted as though we interrupted her. She gave us a key and told us the wireless password. The room is old and dated from the carpet to the bathroom. It took a while for the water to run hot. The towels are thin and worn. The beds are old, uncomfortable and squeaky. The towel rack fell off the wall in the bathroom. The dead bolt is a thin bar that was hard to slide into the end. It didn’t make us feel safe. We stayed in a room with a kitchenette to prepare breakfast. The microwave and refrigerator and toaster all worked, though there were only two receptacles. We never used the TV or outdoor amenities. The room was generally quiet. You only heard a bit of street noise and the people next door when they left early one morning. A redeeming factor is its close proximity (2 miles) from the Acadia National Park Hulls Cove entrance. I was swayed by the positive reviews and wonder if those reviewers stayed at the same place.…
Once we got to our room it smelled musty, cobwebs on the lamps and the small refrigerator was very loud, had to unplug it to listen to the television and sleep. Reported problems to the staff and was told that they could do nothing about it until tomorrow. That was unsatisfactory since we were only staying for one night.
Good - Location close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Found great price when I booked. Service personnel were very friendly and provided daily service despite Covid. Room clean and comfortable. Bathtub/shower with good hot water. Good heat/AC. Room was quiet. WiFi was fine even near the end of the motel. Coffee machine with coffee, fridge, and microwave. Disliked · Just little annoyances. No sink stopper. A bit of peeling paint on sink top. Heat difficult to control with thermostat (but plentiful). Carpet was a bit old and worn.
The room was clean and tidy. The towel holder in the bathroom was broken off the wall, and the room was outdated. The beds were not comfortable. The location was convenient to Bar Harbor, and it was quiet.
We recently stayed for a two-family trip of 8 people and reserved two rooms with kitchenettes. The accommodations were just right for us! It was clean, quiet, staff was friendly and helpful and they truly added to the experience! Each night we enjoyed the outside area together and other guests joined us too! We used the chiminea and had s’mores, used the tables to play card games under the stars, played frisbee and the kids had easy access to homemade ice cream next door and miniature golf across the street! The only thing we could suggest to improve would be to have access to a grill for cooking outside. We had a great experience and will definitely stay again in the future! **the pool was closed but did not miss it with the weather
