Normally, we stay at huge chain-style hotel just outside of Bar Harbor proper. But late travel plans forced us to improvised. After a review of accommodations listed on TripAdivsor, we settled on Quimby House near Downtown Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor can be an expensive place to visit, and Quimby House is no exception. Our room was rather small and dated...

The location of this inn is very good both for the town and driving into Acadia. There is parking out back, and while being on the street, it was very quiet. There is a grocery next door to pick up breakfast as Quimby doesn't provide it. They do have coffee in the lobby. The room (2 queens) was spacious but...

The location was fine of this inn, however it was the worst place we stayed on our 2 week vacation. The room was in need of multiple repairs to walls, flooring and furniture, not clean and VERY outdated. There wasn't a way to close the curtains where the viewers on the outside could not see in on the door; curtains...

Let me start with the positives: Located in a quiet corner of Bar Harbor, Quimby House is a nice respite from the tourist bustle. It is on the side of town closest to the Park, so a great launching point for excursions on bike or foot. Spa services were quite good. Negatives: Decor is tired. Or third floor room was...

Great place , friendly ownership with wonderful advice. Super location and very comfortable. Would stay there again and have recommended Quimby House to friends. Go to Bar Harbor in June , it gets crowded July-August.

My husband and I came for a vacation we stayed at the Quimby for 5 nights. The price was great (especially over the 4th) location even better (the parade came down in front of the hotel). We were able to easily walk to the downtown area, shore path, grocery store for snacks, restaurants and our Kayak tour we took. Wonderful...

Spent 3 nights at Quimby House Inn recently. We parked the car on the first day and didn't move it. We explored everything on foot. We are even took a trolley ride to Acadia Park. Inn was a comfortable place to get a quick rest or change of clothes. Staff very attentive. Quiet. Everything you need for a getaway.

I cannot imagine in this day and age that you, Quimbly House Inn would charge a $25 cancellation fee with over two months notification. This definitely shows a lack of compassion and good service to your potential guests. Sometimes, circumstances change beyond our control and adjustments have to be made. I hope in the future, you can show compassion to...

Booked 3 nights here. The location is perfect, just at the edge of town. A nice distance away for an evening stroll with a busy vibrant village to explore and plenty of good restaurants nearby. The hotel itself was good value for money. It's not fancy or plush, but it's comfortable, with mainly friendly staff. Fred was a bit gruff...

The Quimby House Inn is old, and could use an update, as the bed was terrible. The furniture in the room was uncomfortable and old, and the lights were lacking in light. The room was clean, bathroom ok, but when you turned on the shower the fan blew the shower curtain into you. The towels were great. The lobby is...
