A nice place to stay, good breakfast in the morning. Staff was very excellent, helped us a lot. Good location to explore Bar Harbor. Room was nicely decorated. We spent most of our days in and around Bar Harbor.

Wonderful place to stay. Our room had a fireplace and sitting area. Very quiet location, comfortable mattress and luxurious sheets. Breakfast was delicious and home cooked with yummy pastries. The evening snacks were varied and delicious as well. Check out their packages for great deals. We will be back!

Cleftstone Manner is a step back in history. The location, the service, the overall experience and THE BREAKFAST! Seriously, the staff were super accommodating from booking to checkout. All the calories we needed for the daily hikes were provided by morning and it was a great place to bed down and prepare for the next day's adventure. If you visit,...

Cleftstone Manor is a splendid home. The common areas are wonderful. The social hour appetizers were below the standards of other B&B's we have stayed at. The breakfast was superior . Just do not use the log supplied by the innkeeper in the fireplace, especially in the James Blaine room. From 8pm until 2 am we battled smoke as it...

First time staying at a B&B and did not regret it. Old house, lots of character and very quaint. This place is known for the delicious breakfast prepared by the owner/manager Anne and I preferred the savory dishes. Everything is made fresh in the morning and unlike the typical buffet breakfast at chain hotels, this is actually a bit formal...

The Cleftstone has all the right touches for a nice country B&B. It's proximity to Acadia Park and Bar Harbor village make its location ideal. The innkeepers were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Our room ... the Waldron Bates ... was a lovely collection of four spaces woven into a nice suite. Located on the third floor with it own...

FYI - HIGHWAY 3 the main artery into Bar Harbor changes names to Eden Street directly below the 3rd Floor John Clark private balcony. The Highway NOISE is not an issue inside the property. We intentionally paid a $40 per night premium to enjoy an evening glass of wine on our private balcony with a "peek of the bay (per...

I stayed two nights and rested well. The breakfast were excellent and service good. I caution that a "private bath" does not mean en suite, so you may be walking down a halfway. What I found lacking was any special touch or attention to detail. My bedspread was upside down so all the 'do not remove tags' were at the...

The Cleftstone Manor was absolutely delightful. I had always been skeptical about the whole B&B thing, but if they were all like Cleftstone Manor, I think I would stay in them all the time! They were very accommodating, especially since we got in late, and were always there to try to make our trip better. The breakfast was incredible and...

We were booked for four nights at the Cleftstone Manor in August. Due to a miscommunication, we missed the first night and we were charged for the first night for the full amount. It was our fault that we didn't check the reservation. The facility was well kept and offered use of the swimming pool at the Bluenose Inn next...
