It doesn't get much better than this. A grand home with owners who welcome you as if you are family. One block from downtown Bar Harbor yet retains that secluded feel. Private parking. Beautiful dining room with hearty breakfast.

My wife and I got lucky and grabbed Gary and Heidi's last available room on a few weeks notice and it couldn't have worked out better for us. Their cottage is first rate front to back, our suite (the Birchcroft) was wonderful and our hosts made the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as one can imagine. Whether it was Gary's...

This was our second stay at the Inn and it was as wonderful, if not better than our first. I say that because the innkeepers, Gary and Heidi, welcomed us back like we were old friends. But it isn't just that, that makes it wonderful. The innkeepers are nice friendly people, they take meticulous care of this beautiful house, and...

We've stayed in a lot of B&B's over the years, and the Atlantean Cottage is one of the best. The rooms are spacious and immaculately restored. The fixtures and furnishings are equivalent to what you would see in a luxury home. Learning that Heidi and Gary are ex-engineers explains it. No detail was left undone. The breakfasts were first rate...

I honestly can't say enough good things about the Atlantean Cottage. Beautiful older home with such character and warmth. We loved our room and the shower was fantastic. The grounds are beautiful and so well kept. Loved sitting on the front porch and side patio and just enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Within easy walking to distance to all the shops...

Breakfast was amazing! Room was perfect. It was hard to believe we were right around the corner from hundreds of tourists doing the tourist thing over the 4th of July! Our private porch was delightful and perfect for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails. Heidi and Gary really make you feel at home! Hated to leave!

I don't even know where to start. This is a beautiful Tudor cottage that has been impeccably restored and decorated. It is within walking distance of everything, including the Shore Path. The owners, Gary and Heidi, made us feel so welcome yet they were never in the way. We felt like we were family and they had great recommendations for...

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Atlantean (3 nights, June 2016). Heidi and Gary were absolutely wonderful hosts. Our room (Chatwold) was quite comfortable, with a fireplace that helped keep the unseasonable chill away, and a shower with side jets to ease muscles sore from a day exploring Acadia. The location was steps from...

We stayed here in June. The house is right off the main street so easy to walk to the shops and eat. Gary and Heidi the owners, made homemade vegetarian breakfast every morning for the guests. We are not vegetarian but there was nothing left on either of our plates....so yummy. They were extremely helpful with where to eat dinner...
