We arrived on our Holland Cruise ship in Pago, Pago. Sadies By The Sea was within walking distance (about 20 minutes or so) and we stopped to check out the beach. Our cost to use the facilities was $5 and this included a beautiful beach, pool, lounge chairs, bar and restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the food and... More

well, when you get here, in Samoa, you gotta leave your home habit, you have to enter into this peaceful atmosphere. Such atmosphere can be felt all around the island, this is a thing that cannot be reviewed. Yaman!

Thank you Maickol b. Yes, you have hit the head right on the nail! Peace and tranquility. But some frustrations also. Especially when you want to go faster than the accepted norm. The Island people keep you in check with their infectious smiles and never ending hospitality. That is the true beauty of the Samoas. More

If you are looking for a tropical mega-resort, American Samoa is not for you. But if you are looking for an authentic South Pacific experience and a very clean and comfortable place to stay, you can't do better than American Samoa and Sadie's by the Sea. The rooms are large, and the furniture, though rather basic, is well-maintained. In particular,... More

My two boys, aged 13 and 15, and I had the great pleasure of visiting Sadie's by the Sea. It was one of the most special experiences of our lives. We were overwhelmed by the kindness of the owner and the team. We were welcomed as family into their home. A special visit was arranged for us to explore the... More

We sat on our patio and gazed at the beautiful scenery when we weren't eating or sightseeing. The location is excellent and the setting is perfect - beach, pool, great restaurant, really good service from everyone.

The location is decent, within walking distance of most major government complexes. The food was okay. The beach isn't much of a draw. And for some reason, the floor was always wet when getting out of bed in the mornings and coming back in the afternoon. I think it was condensation from the AC. Internet access is extremely slow. And... More

Points well taken. It's difficult to explain the wet floors -certainly if it was from the AC it would be puddled below the unit. One review suggests that the floors never get mopped -maybe housekeeping was mopping yours night and morning? Regarding furniture, following some local guests it is always a challenge keeping up with senseless graffiti. I believe that... More

Seems like every time I check-in to Sadies it just goes from bad to worse. Wasn't until the next morning I notice how dirty the rooms are. Housekeepers do not sweep under the beds, or mop the floors, walls could do with some spot cleaning, and furniture was littered with graffiti, scratches and wear and tear. Sadies need to invest... Good spot right "by the sea". Food was good. Service was traditionally slow like everywhere else on the island but the people's kindness and permanent smiles make up for it. Air conditioning is controlled by the hotel key so it doesn't stay on when you're gone. I would recommend grabbing an extra key from the desk unless you enjoy coming... More
