We had two days and one night here before embarking on our UnCruise. It is very pretty, the view is amazing and the grounds are well kept and pretty. I don't understand the recent couple of negative reviews. Our room was clean and the bed and pillows perfect. No bugs anywhere. The restaurant is adequate. Staff nice. We lucked out...

Before I can review Hotel Molokai, I need to explain Molokai. This Hawaiian island has only 7,000 people, no chain restaurants or motels and little tourist stuff. I came to the island to visit Kalaupapa National Historic Site. Now the hotel. It's the only hotel on the island, though there are other accommodations on the island. I found the hotel...

Stayed: December 23rd, 24th, 25th, 2016 Oceanfront room #221 When we first entered the room, we saw a partially decomposed gecko on the carpet covered by a pile of ants. The first night, black colored flying insects crawled into the bathroom from the closed bathroom window. I spent 15 minutes picking them off the ceiling and walls with toilet paper....

The few positives - the breakfast was good, served by the side of the ocean with a fabulous view, and our servers (at breakfast and dinner) were both friendly, as was the young lady who checked us in initially. Unfortunately the rest of it was ghastly. When we parked outside the reception area, some local people in the hotel grounds...

Our third trip to Hotel Molokai (over 20 years), and it's as good as ever. This is the place to go if you are looking for a quiet respite from tourist Hawaii, if you want to experience something more genuine (and rare). This is the real deal, as is the whole island of Molokai. Ocean view rooms are old school...

We went to Hotel Molokai for 1 week. We spent the majority of the first 3 days trying to find a room or a mattress that you could sleep on that was not as filthy as the one in our room, and we had 3 beds in the room, not one of them was something you wanted to lay down...

The hotel's style is vintage Hawaii. It was very casual. We had an oceanfront room with amazing views and tons of chickens running around the lanai- there was even a one legged chicken hopping around! Breakfast was good at the restaurant.

Room facilities are not so good or clean for "hotel" but I feel like in my room. In the night, you can go to town in just 10 minutes for famous molokai hot bread. And there are some hammocks to relax or see stars at night. The hotel is not big, so each can enjoy by her/his self and meet...

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Molokai. The entire team is accommodating and extremely hospitable. The rooms are simple but have everything you need. I highly recommend the Ocean Front rooms - the view from the balcony is absolutely stunning. We will definitely be back.

I love Hotel Molokai. I stay here about once a year with an event. Hotel Molokai is not the Ritz, the Hyatt, or the Four Seasons. It is classic, vintage Hawaii. Variety of room types - I usually stay in the one w/a king bed plus 2 twins, along with a mini kitchen (fridge/sink). It's not fancy, but gets the...
