We stayed here two nights in a private room with double bed on the street side of the building. I had no problem sleeping, but my husband said he kept waking up at every street sound all night long. We were very satisfied with everything else: cleanliness, easy internet access, and a guide of recommended local restuarants which, we found,...

I really had no idea what to expect when I booked this place, but I knew I was so pleasantly surprised when I checked in. Having stayed there for a week now, I know that all the staff are friendly, helpful and are there to help with anything they can. Their laid-back approachseems to seep through the place making it...

I've been to Maui eight times. I've stayed in hotels, condos, timeshares, resorts and motels. This time I wanted the adventure of staying in a hostel. I've heard nightmare stories of hostels and spent quite sometime reading reviews of all the hostels on Maui. I loved it here! I wish I could give 10 stars for cleanliness. Thank you to...

Great place to base oneself for a good look around the island. It is possible to get around using the reliable Maui bus system which is quite close to the hostel. The bus goes directly to Lahaina, Queens Centre and from there to Wailea, Paia, Makawao. It does not go to Road to Hana or Halakeala but see my other...

I traveled to the four main islands of Hawaii late April and early May. I stayed in hostels on every island for 7 or 8 nights. The afforability and quality of the hostels made my 5 week dream vacation possible. I am a senior solo traveler who usually stays in B&Bs but my experience at the Northshore Hostel was equal...

I stayed at this hotel for one night while waiting to catch an early flight out the next morning. I was impressed that they offer a free airport pickup and dropoff to all guests - this saves expensive taxi fare, or at the very least saves a ride on the island bus. I arrived to find clean, welcoming dorm rooms...

Thank you for your nice review. We strive to be the best value on Maui, not just the best hostel. As for age restrictions, we welcome travelers of all ages but we can't accommodate those 6 years and under, and we do enforce our 'travelers only' status. Occasionally folk do use us as a base when moving to Maui...under special...

Nice hostel with exceptional atmosphere. It's located a little out of town, a rental car is definitely recommended, especially as the next supermarket is some miles away and otherwise only reachable by busES. There is a washer and dryer available and free pancakes in the morning, a nice common room and a porch. The hostel has only shared bathrooms, but...

On a previous trip in 2003/2004, I stayed in Maui at an expensive hotel part of the venue for a conference. This time when the conference came back to Maui, I stayed at the hostel to experience the real island.
