We were warmly greeted by Candace who provided great local info. on the historic Inn, nearby restaurants and the road to Hana. We enjoyed our charming street side room and the quaint, private walkway to the dramatic beach that included manicured, secluded alcoves with lawn chairs. Breakfast was farm fresh delicious.

Lovely Lovely stay at Paia Inn. Super cute small inn on the main street in this sweet town. Lots of attention to detail. Candace went above and beyond what was expected and really made our last night in Maui the perfect one. Amazing winding path to one of the most beautiful beaches on the North Shore (beach chairs provided). If...

The staff were absolutely amazing, helpful in every way, friendly and wonderful to chat with. All of them were a great credit to the owners. We were even allowed to borrow towels and cooler when we left (and returned on our last day) We had the one bedroom suite facing the town. No street noise at all. Only disturbance was...

We rented the house. It is wonderfully maintained, has a view of the ocean and is just a few feet from the beach. During our early morning walks we virtually had the beach to ourselves, though we did have to walk around the turtles that came up to rest on the sand. Evenings included a BBQ of fresh fish on...

The inn itself is personable. Neat, clean, vibrant, but close quarters. We arrived late at night (it was dark). BUT, in the morning, we got up early to greet the sunrise, and were amazed that the private beach was just a few steps away from the inn, through some convoluted tiny passageway. We spent hours on that beach over the...

Hotels can't always control for everything. But the way management responds and make it right--that's what creates loyalty and admiration. We didn't have a great initial checkin process--as we were finally moving into our room, we revived a text from the manager-room upgrade, free parking and breakfast! It was a total game changer and took me from cranky and critical...

The Paia Inn is a lovely Inn on the ocean. We loved the cozy path that lead to the water. Because it is right in town you have walking access to all the shops and restaurants. It is also right on the road to Hana and there are places that you can get a picnic lunch to take with you.

Hands down one of the highlights of our trip was our overnight stay here at the Paia Inn. It truly felt like home away from home. The personal service we received from the time we arrived until after we checked out was phenomenal!! A hand written note awaited us and we even had the opportunity to meet and chat with...

Paia Inn could be a home run hotel given its friendly staff and grass lounge perched above the surf, but the shabby rooms with Costco decor dilute the the overall experience. This place could be such a cool campy hotel but misses the mark in many ways re: interior ambiance and boutique services - like utilizing the grass beach lounge...

What a great place. Rooms were nicely decorated and well equipped with private access to beach. Centre of town, near restaurants and bars and cafes. Service was outstanding, always giving us tips on where to eat, what to see. Very welcoming. A cool hotel near airport but not commercial with a local feel. Beginning of road to Hana.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The postcard perfection of Maui’s North Shore (white sand beaches, raging waterfalls, stylish cafes, and world-class surfers) just got even better with the opening of the Paia Inn. This beach town boutique hotel seamlessly blends modern amenities with the historic character of its building. In a nod to the town’s plantation trade days, the building’s exterior has retained its charm with tin rooftops and rustic hues; yet, the interior mixes contemporary island furnishings with the chic lushness of the W Hotel. ... more   less
