I don't want to write this, because this perfect oasis of calm and rejuvenation will become in such demand tht I will not be able to find a reservation. But that would be selfish. If you want time away from the tourists yet be within 15 minutes of everything wonderful on Maui, then you need to make a reservation here.

Loved the property. Very peaceful, ample space, and just a 10 minute walk to Makawao. The ambiance is nice and the bedrooms are simple but that's also part of the charm. There's a pool, some swings and a hammock. The owner was very attentive to our needs. Great space for groups to cook, dine, and hang out in the living...

I was here 6 years ago, and Marty is such a great host. There is nothing that i could have asked for, except more time on the island. The property is so close to everything but far away from everyone. It was so quiet there and the Mock Orange filled the air. The pineapple that comes with Breakfast was the...

This was our 4th staycation at the Banyan Bed & Breakfast. We arrived for our early check in and as soon as we pulled into the driveway, serenity and peace flooded us. Our gracious host Marty, had us set up in our favorite cottage - the Gardenia. The accommodations are superb - large, clean cottage with great private lanai and...

We enjoyed all aspects of our 5-night stay at Banyan B&B, especially the natural beauty. Our very roomy and comfortable Hibiscus cottage was surrounded by beautiful shrubs and flowers, which created a wonderful sense of privacy and delighted the senses. The up-country location in the very appealing town of Makawao was great, peaceful and serene compared with Maui's busy west...

Quiet, peaceful, well-maintained property with charming cottages, pretty pool/ hot tub, and excellent yoga studio is a wonderful place to settle in for the night - or even hang out all day! It's conveniently located near the main street in Makawao. Parking is not an issue, nor is safety. Proprietor Marty is mellow, laid back, and accommodating. Must like cats...

My wife and I stay at Banyan for 8 nights. The up-country location was perfect for our cycling focused stay on Maui. It is also just a short drive to Paia, which has everything one needs including a great natural foods store, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. We stayed in the Gardenia cottage which we found to be clean and...
