Everything about this condo is done to provide a home away from home in amenities; however it’s about the amazingly, breath taking view!!! From the moment you walk in the door, you’ll see your 4th wall, the ocean. The furnishing throughout is modern, up to date, and comfortable. It’s apparent the owners take pride in this condo. This is our second stay in A-305. we were last here, August 2019. As soon as we walked in, we noticed the carpet had been replaced by a beautiful laminate (we were actually the first guest after the new flooring was installed). The kitchen has everything you need from dish ware, cookware, utensils and appliances. You literally are steps from the beach, where the turtles visit daily and the sunsets are not to be missed. The unit is also equipped with snorkeling gear, beach chairs, umbrella, ice chest, etc…The owners are very easy to work with and care about their guests. I highly recommend Maui Sea Shell condo! Can’t wait to get back!

I am sure each suite is different. Our suite was fairly updated, spacious and comfortable. We had a full on view of the ocean (3rd floor) as the building is right on the beach. I have never stayed anywhere this close to the beach. It is very quiet and clean. The location of the resort is convenient to Lahaina and going the other direction to Kapalua. I have never seen large sea turtles on the beach before! We had a 3-turtle day recently. The swimming on the beach is wonderful. You don't really need to use the pool. No A/C but you don't need it with the open windows and ceiling fans and breezes. Kitchen was stocked with all the necessities for cooking, even some condiments. Parking was a breeze. There is an elevator. Only con is no gas BBQ's! Old school charcoal and starter, which kind of wafts towards and into the suites. We did not have wifi so we were always hassling with tethering. Otherwise, as said, we will be back!

07/04 thru 08/04: This was the first time, but not the last, that my wife, son, and I have stayed at the Hale Mahina. What a fantastic place. There is a small beach out front that affords fine snorkeling, and just to the north, in a patch of sea grass, is a fish nursery that has babies of all imaginable Hawaiian species. Lots of turtles too! The grounds are very clean and well maintained. If you are looking for peace and serenity, the Hale Mahina will fill your bill.

We had our trip planned for July but it was canceled due to the COVID pandemic and the travel restrictions. We had reservations for condo A405, John and Beth Kassis, owners, and they have refused to give our deposit back. Nobody was expecting anything like this pandemic to happen and we would have gone if this hadn’t have happened. The owners should have done the right thing and refunded our deposit. Lesson learned be aware of the owners who you rent from and make sure there is something written in the cancelation policy about pandemics.

We have traveled for the past 30 years, from Penthouses in New York to Villa's in Spain, never before have we found such a Exquisite place to stay.
The Beach and the complex grounds are Most Wonderful, the location is just minutes to everything you would need, or want to do on the Island.
The unit, that was the most Luxurious & Immaculate we have ever found!
What a show place!
My wife felt like a Queen, top of the line everything, right down to 1000 thread count sheets! The kitchen had a sub-zero, and set up for any gourmet, the unit had a computer with the high speed cable for us to use, the Incredible Art work through out the unit, the finest furnishings, and Ocean Views from this unit were just Spectacular!
We booked with the owner, can't remember the site, just make sure you get unit B-402, we thought we were paying much more than they get for the other units there when we booked it, Now we think we sure got one heck of a Great Deal!
We think we will be back for another 2 weeks this year.

We just had the most wonderful Holiday on Maui!
Beautiful complex grounds, and a great little private beach, friendly manager, nice large pool with spa, and the views were just Incredible from from our unit!
The unit we had found was beyond Spectacular, it had to be the very nicest place we have ever stayed in, it is just amazing that someone would share this exquisite home with others!
This 2 bedroom unit had wonderful oceanviews from the master bedroom also, the only sound at night was the ocean, what a joy to wake up to.
We still can not believe that we were really there, we just loved the Island, we just loved the location of our unit, we ate at so many wonderful places, everything was just perfect, except for having to leave!
You will not go wrong at the Hale Mahina, you MUST pay the little extra and get this unit B-402 from the owner Kathy, she calls it the 1st class oceanfront penthouse, we call it a 1st class vacation!

1 week is not enough! What a wonderful spot to vacation, private soft sand beach, large oceanfront pool with a spa, and the tropical grounds and sunsets are some of the best on the Island.
What a wonderful location, near everything, and minutes to Lahaina, Kaanapali and Kapalua.
We have rented many places over the years, this unit by far has been the Very Nicest, not only was it Gorgeous, it was the most luxurious we have found to date.
They call it a Fabulous 1st Class Oceanfront Penthouse, and it is really more than that, we are now dreaming of a 2 week return to unit B-402 in the next 6 months, as we are hooked on this Amazing vacation we just had!

The vacation was great. We stayed in Hale Mahina B402, the Penthouse. The condo was on the top floor and it had everything you could imagine and all top of the line. Gourmet kitchen with a sub-zero frig, all corian, mable and granite throughout. It had a Apple Imac computer for our use with 1000's of songs to play from there iTunes. The veiws were breathtaking, especially of the sunsets. We even watched a movie there and it had a Bose surround sound. Its hard to believe this was a vacation rental. The complex has it own private beach and swimming pool. Dining and and activities were all minutes away. We will be going back next year. It was alittle more expensive, but we thought it was worth it. We found the unit online from one of the rental by owner sites and were glad we did. Can't wait to go back!!

Our family just returned from 7 days at the Hale Mahina Beach Resort. The grounds are beautiful, and the units are well kept. We fell asleep nightly with the waves rolling in on a private sandy beach. There was great snorkeling, and swimming on the same beach. Its a great place for familys, there is a pool and facilitys for showering off, and bbq available.
Its quite at night, so if your looking for someplace to de-stress, this is it. I cant wait to go back!

This is a great condo complex... one of the best in Maui. We have stayed at Hale Mahina 8 times over the past ten years, but will no longer. The property managers - Larry and Lynn - are so intolerant of children it is unbearable. The last two times we stayed they nearly ruined our vacation. If there is so much as a splash in the pool, they come running from their unit to scold the child. They have also used the same pathetic tactic to rid the common/pool area of children... during both my family's past two stays they have strung yellow caution tape around the pool and closed it (for days at a time) for a "broken filter" or some other excuse. There are a few permanent residents at this complex and it seems that Larry and Lynn have band together with them to drive out families. We can't wait to come back and enjoy the property as soon as they retire and move on.
