Loved our studio villa and had a nice tiny balcony with a great view. The issue is that there is no maid service at all throughout the week without a charge (odd to me and not fitting of a Westin). We washed our own towels (glad to have a small washer and dryer), emptied our own trash, and prayed for a maid cart somewhere to grab a shampoo or soap. Service around the pool was nonexistent some days and others were very limited. We chose NOT to buy here due to very mediocre customer service at check in (waited in line over an hour) and rude staff waitstaff at the limited restaurants. But the property is beautiful and we loved our view so it made it all worth it!

Get an oceanfront room if you can, it will totally change the experience. Room: Wow, so comfortable and clean. Wifi worked really well and everyone was really happy with our experience. Dining: auntie's kitchen is not that great. All the food is takeout style cause of Covid-19 and it is super expensive considering what you're getting. Not worth it, eat outside the hotel. Amenities: the beach is awesome, the hotel can set up chairs etc. for you. The water is stunning, you can see fish! The pool area is more kid friendly , but we did not feel it was worth it during Covid-19. Check in/Check-out: The front desk made this easy and were very Covid-19 conscious. The valet staff were equally awesome. Location: Absolutely great with only 10min to Lahaina and 45min to airport. Conclusion: This is an ideal place to stay with family while in Maui. The room was super comfortable and the hotel offered incredible amenities.

We just got back from an amazing stay at the Westin. I was a little nervous to go to Maui given the recent ask by the governor for tourists to stay away but given we had postponed the trip twice already and it was too late to cancel and get a refund, we decided to go. I was really impressed by Ryan Nobriga and his team at how safe I felt being there. Everyone wore masks. Social distancing was taken seriously. Other protocols, such as housekeeping and dining, were adjusted. We had great service from Edlexis, who delivered all of our groceries to our room late one night in two GIANT crates, all by himself, and was so warm and friendly (good luck with the new baby!). We also had great service from Tygris and Kekai who helped us with beach chairs and umbrellas on various days. They were each so friendly - both interested in us and open in sharing about themselves - that we looked forward to seeing them each morning. Thank you for making our trip so great!

STAY ANY PLACE ELSE! This is the WORST Maui Marriott option. Like so many others have written, management of this property clearly does NOT care about it’s guests. As a Titanium Bonvoy Member - they only upgraded my studio’s view to what they call an “oceanfront”view- which is “Oceanview” at best. Even worse, it’s right above a horrible generator that is so loud we can’t even open the sliding door. We called down for help- but the phone in room doesn’t work. Called from my cell & after holding 40 min- got disconnected 2x. The Lines at registration & concierge are so long -because EVERYONE seems to be upset w/ service here. The staff TRIES to help, but are not allowed. Ie, even though upgrades are prioritized for owners, there were still MANY upgrade options available at check in, the “team leader” of Cassie at front desk would not allow her to upgrade us to a 1-bedroom OR a proper oceanfront studio. They’d rather have it empty?! The manager - Rob- was not helpful at all. The hallways are filled with dirty sheets & trash. There are ZERO TITANIUM amenities: No breakfast, no free parking- nothing AND the hotel has NO HOUSEKEEPING for anyone! The Sheraton 1/2 block down the beach gives free breakfast - proper oceanfront upgrades to both rooms & suites, free parking & daily housekeeping (for the same price as this place). Most restaurants here are closed & the room itself was dirty. Choose ANY other Marriott option but this one. I don’t know how we’re going to deal with 4 more nights at this place. If they’d let me out of my reservation, we’d run!

I was very apprehensive about coming to this resort after reading all of the negative reviews. We are at the Resort now, the third day of our 7 day stay and either we are in a completly different place than the reviewers stayed at or the hotel has really changed things fast. Checking in took about 20 minutes or so. There were about 12-15 people in line, but they did have 5 different "stations" open at the front desk and they were quick and friendly and efficient. The place is well maintained and our room is just fine and very clean. No daily housekeeping, but not that big of a deal. We asked for towels and fresh sheets and had them within the hour. Staff is very friendly and all work very hard. Grounds are well maintained. Pool and pool area ver clean and well maintained. We are in the South side tower. Over all this is a great place to stay. That being said, personally, we prefer less of a family oriented resort and will probably not come back, but no fault of the resort. The pool restaurants at both towers are good. The store is closed in the South Tower and the nicer restaurant is also closed. We walked to Dukes for breakfast and have had luck with finding plenty of restaurants to make reservations at or get on waiting lists that were less than an hour. Over all, if this is what you are looking for in a resort, it's a good pace to stay. Perfect family resort.
