We stayed in the older building with no elevator, which we thought would be an issue, however it was just the opposite! The stairs were an easy climb and good exercise. Our view was phenomenal. Early December was the perfect, uncrowded time to go!

We enjoyed so much of our stay at this hotel. The only thing that was disappointing about our trip was that our room was an adjoining room and we could hear the family in the adjoining room as though they were in our room, down to their extralegal conversations. We asked to switc

We absolutely love this hotel. We've been here four times and we've already booked next year. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We really feel like we get the whole Hawaiian experience while staying here.

If you are looking for the very high end facilities, you might want to try south Maui. For a great location, very relaxed stay, very friendly staff this the 5 star hotel. It truly is a home away from home. I hope they are around for as long as we go to Maui.

I would like to know if it is feasible to use Uber to and from the airport and in town. I intend to use transportation provided by the resort for day trips. Thanks.
It is too far of a distance from the airport to the hotel for Uber. However, there are several shuttle vans available from the airport that are perfect. During the time of my stay, I witnessed vans arriving full of very happy passengers. My first impression was that they might be hotel vans, but I was corrected by hotel staff. Good call on your part! A car is only marginally necessary, expensive, and the hotel charges $30 daily for valet parking ($25 for self park).

Getting married on Maui at the end of January and looking forward to staying at KBH while we're visiting the island for the first time. We are wondering what there might be for grocery stores or more affordable meal options in the area? Also, do the rooms just have microwaves or are there options to use electric woks etc that I've read other resorts provide? Mahalo!
There is a newly-renovated Safeway store approximately 3 miles south of the hotel with everything you would find in the states, however, the prices are typically high as are most things on the islands. There are no microwaves in the rooms at KBH and I have no knowledge of electric woks.

How can we find out information about NYE at the Tikki Terrace Restaurant? The hotel website says there is a celebration and to call a number provided. I did just that and a rude person said they couldn't help me because "they didn't know, ummmmmm yeah". I'm just trying to plan while before other options sell out.
Aloha. Thank you for checking NYE celebration at Tiki Terrace Restaurant. It will be a dinner buffet from 5pm to 9pm. For more information and menu, please check our Tiki Terrace Website. We are so sorry to hear the service you received. We sincerely apologize for that. Hope we get to answer your question. Mahalo.

Can you request late checkout, how much
On a space available basis, you can keep your room until 6 pm... I believe the cost is $100.00 we've done this a couple of times, and it's a good deal.

Husband and i are spending 1 week in january in oceanview room first time to hawaii celebrating both our 50th bdays and 25th anniversary. We have always done secrets or sandels all inclusive but want to get away from that and start a new travel chapter. We wanted to spen less on hotel since we do not spend much time inside or at pool want a good beach walkable restaurants and quiet. Early to rise and early to bed, we have ocean view booked but would it be better to do ocean front and we have no children. Spending 3 days in waikiki prior. Any tips rooms excursions
We did the Road to Hana on a van tour and were happy we did. Driving this road requires full concentration and no driver sight seeing. Plan a snorkel trip on a boat. The Ka'anapali Beach Hotel is quite nice but not all inclusive. You should check prices on several beach hotel and then check them in Google Earth.
