Great location on a quieter and calm beach. The grounds were well kept and amenities worked great. It was perfect for a girl’s trip (multiple FULL bathrooms!). The host was incredibly helpful in navigating the island and getting ideas on things to do. Roosters woke you up every morning though and the TVs did not work, a very very small price to lay for a great location in paradise.
Nani Kai Hale is a maybe 40 yr old condo complex but is well maintain, clean and a nice contrast to the large resorts. Right on Sugar Beach with a great patio, lawn and pool. Sugar Beach Events is next door so when they had a Luau going we could listen to the music on the lawn or in the pool...an unexpected bonus. 1 bedroom, a sleeper sofa in the living room, two bathrooms and nice kitchen was a perfect setup for us. Our rate was very affordable and the location is central in Maui so makes it easy to get to Kahului, Lahaina and Wailea (of course nothing is near Hana). Thanks to all there for a wonderful stay!
This is a one bed room condo with a small kitchen and a living/dining area. The unit has a balcony with narrow view of the beach/ocean. The property is accessed from a quiet cul-de-sac. It has direct access to the beach with a private grassed area between the building and the beach with lounge chairs, tables and a BBQ area. The building and grounds were well maintained. The units in the building are privately owned. While I believe they are all similar these comments apply only to Unit 208. Access to the units is from an outside walkway on the south side of the building. Windows for the rooms are on the north side. Very small windows on the south side provide ventilation. The unit has air conditioning, but we did not need it. The unit suited our (2 people) needs and we would stay there again. There is a sofa bed in the living room area. The tile floors, the 2 bathrooms and the windows could have been cleaner. The is no grocery store near by within walking distance.…
We love Nani Kai Hale! It is in a great location in north Kihei. We loved walking to Ululani’s to get shaved ice (almost daily). Easy access to the highway to get to other parts of the island. We have stayed in 2 different units at this complex (in 2017 and 2018) and both were pretty similar. It is small so not crowded at all, and everyone is really friendly. Free parking and plenty of spots. The beach isn’t great for swimming or snorkeling but wonderful to walk and enjoy the scenery. I would recommend staying here for anyone looking for a low-key, relaxed environment. I’m sure we will be back!
Loved the condo, the people, the beach, the location everything....except an event center has opened up beside it. Yes they have to be inside with the doors closed after 11 PM, but every time someone opens the door you get a blast of music. There were four events out of the seven nights we were there and had to sleep with the windows closed - so much for that pounding surf.
The condo is easy to find and reasonably close to the airport, Wal-Mart, Target and the shopping and restaurants in Kihei. It is right on the beach with its own private green space right before the beach. The accommodations were more than adequate and has to be the best bargain in Maui. We will stay there the next time we vacation in Maui again.
We loved our visit to this resort on Sugar Beach!! Tim, the manager, is the best... helpful, kind, friendly... can’t say enough good things about him! The location of it on the island is just perfect. Love the beachfront! Sugar Beach is awesome for walking and watching amazing sunsets! We hope to stay here on our future visits to Maui... it felt like our home away from home.
We have just spent 4 nights in condo 407 and found the beach to be fabulous for walking and swimming. Smooth sand for long stretches and warm water with gentle waves. The condo is clean, well stocked ( no coffee to brew), 2 full bathrooms, the small balcony looks out to the ocean and you can hear the waves at night. We had 4 rainbows the first morning. The bed is comfortable but the sheets don’t fit very well. The seating by the beach is very nice. The person we dealt with for rental,Victoria (Airbnb) was consistently clear , helpful, and responsive. Price was right for us. Not luxury but pleasant.
We had a wonderful time time in this condo. We rented it on VRBO. It’s just steps away from the beach which is a wonderful. Very quiet no seaweed and quite gentle waters. Perfect for family’s. Very clean has plenty of parking and an elevator which is nice when you have groceries. Only 14 mins from the airport and in the middle of everything which was wonderful. The bed was super comfortable great air conditioning and you have an awesome view from the Lanai. The only complaint we had was the fan on the roof was really squeaky. But we mentioned it to the manager and he was in the process of fixing it. And one of the shower bathrooms needed some draino. Otherwise it was a perfect stay.
We stayed in a newly remodelled condo #502. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, all with air conditioning and breezy windows. The kitchen was fully stocked, with plates, dish towels, and all your cooking needs. The storage cupboard had coolers, pool noodles, beach chairs and all sorts of other possibly needed items. It had two full bathrooms with roomy showers, high vanities and linens. There is a laundry room just down the hall. The building sits on Sugar Beach in Kihei, which is a beautiful stretch of quiet sand and beach. My husband snorkelled most mornings and we went for many beach walks. The condo has a pool and beach chairs on the lawn with a path to the beach. Kihei is a great location to visit the rest of Maui. We stayed here with another couple and would recommend this building and condo.…
