We have just returned from a 2 week (5-19 Oct 2011) vacation at the Nalu. It was a family holiday and we rented 105 and 601. The 2 sets of parents were in 105 and our adult 'kids' (ages 23 to 29) were up in 601. Both condos were clean and had full kitchens. Bath and Swim towels were supplied...

We just got back from our 5th visit to the Kamaole Nalu. The grounds used to be so well kept now not so, Many plants are dying, several of the plants are sick. They used to rake or blow the plant debis daily off the lawns, we stayed 10 days and not once was the outside grounds cleaned up, very...

I have been to this complex about 5-6 times now, and we won't stay anywhere else. Some of the positives: 1) LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Close to shops, restaurants, bars 2) Set on one of the best beaches in south Maui 3) The complex is built so all units have ocean views. 4) The layout of the units is perfect for...

This review is a bit overdue. We stayed in unit 506 in January 2009. The view was magnificent. The apartment itself was fine for our needs, but could have used some TLC at the time, especially for the price we paid. The location is great for both shopping , restaurant, and of course the 3 Kam beaches. Overall, would stay...

We stayed at the Kamaole Nalu Unit 405 for 8 nights in July. It was a wonderful condo and the location can't be beat. If you are wanting to stay in Kihei and right on a great beach this is the place. The Kamaole Nalu is beachfront and just a short walk to a large and uncrowded beach with good...

We just returned from an extended vacation at Kamaole Nalu. We rented unit #402 and really enjoyed our accommodations and experience. After reading other Trip Advisor reviews, we contacted the owners by phone, prior to booking our reservation. The owners, (Grant & Lisa) were very friendly and professional. They answered all our questions and referred us to several other guest...

We stayed 3 weeks at Kamaole Nalu, unit # 105, from late January to mid February. The unit was upgraded with new furniture, kitchen items, towels, and other comfortable items. This unit had everything in the kitchen for full cooking, had Egyptian cotton sheets (the best I have ever slept on), high end pillows and every item needed to perform...

First of all, let me say that most complaints in these reviews have a grain of truth to them. However, I don't have much sympathy for those who did not understand what they were getting when they made a reservation at the Nalu. Yes, the Nalu can be noisy at times. Yes, some of the units aren't as nice as...

This is an older 36 unit building built at an angle to the ocean. Prices of the units vary greatly with proximity to the ocean. As reported before units are individually owned so what you get is the luck of the draw. We managed to get one nicely updated unit and one old dump. Be very cautious! Building is in...

We stayed for 10 nights in unit 105. With four teenage boys, groundfloor beachfront was very important to me and the Kamaole Nalu fit the bill. Unfortunately, the quality of the unit was horrific and I cannot stress enough that unit 105 needs to be upgraded extensively - AND CLEANED THOROUGHLY - before you should consider it. The blinds in...
