Our flight home was delay till 1 am so we booked this hotel the day to have a place to shower and clean up before heading to the airport. 3 pm check is nice and friendly front deck had no issues what so ever.
Recently stayed there few nights and let me to tell you, really amazing service, from front desk lady that was so helpful, smiling and taking the time to make sure I was gonna have the best time. Even though it was my first time going solo I felt like I was visiting friends house and felt welcome and loved. Would recommend this place, was clean, spacious and neat.
We were visiting our friends at Maui Beach Hotel when our return flight to Vancouver was canceled and had no flight options for some time; We decided to book a room here not wishing to scramble for a room which was no problem at all. An hour later we were informed from the airline that the only option was to go with a flight leaving in the next 2 hours so we had to scramble to the airport to meet the deadline. I had to contact the hotel the next morning to see about a credit or refund and because we never used the room, the Manager I believe was Melissa refunded our money right away so we didn’t have to eat the hotel fee. Thank you very much for the super customer service, you really helped make a tough situation a lot more bearable, we will stay at Maui Beach Hotel in moment! Maholo! Dave Church…
If you are going to be active and exploring Maui, Maui Beach Hotel is the place to stay. This portion of our vacation was to see as much of Maui in five days before heading over to Oahu for our normal relaxing portion of our trip to Hawaii. Maui Beach Hotel was the perfect location to start each day of exploring...Road to Hana, beaches on the west side, day trip to Lahaina for shopping and visiting Java Jazz to hang out with the "seasonal locals" on the Ka'anapali Shore and lavender farms and Haleakala National park in central Maui. It was also a great launch point for breakfast/dinners in Paia and Makawao at the beginning of our dally adventures or ending the day on our return. The Maui Beach Hotel grounds were beautifully kept and presented a relaxing setting. We enjoyed the Maui Beach Hotel for its quaintness and simplicity; service was always exceptional and helpful. This is not a top of the line resort; however, it is the perfect setting if your thing is to explore and not bust your budget on hotel costs. If you are visiting Maui to explore and take in as much of Maui as you can, then Maui Beach Hotel is the perfect place to stay!! …
The is an awesome little hotel. It’s pretty convenient for Kahului and Wailuku. The staff has always been friendly and there are many amenities, although some are not always available. PROS- There’s a bunch of fun games everywhere, outside in the yard they have bocce ball, and corn hole. Things like billiards and connect 4 are inside and there are also board games you can rent. I loved walking around the hotel seeing couples and families laughing and bonding with each other “Coffee hour” twice a day at the front desk. Free coffee, tea and hot chocolate. We were there on a cold and windy day, so this was much appreciated in the chilly afternoon! The beach is a great place to watch the sunrise or set. It feels private and really the whole property feels a little tucked away from the “city life” of town. The courtyard has a few hammocks and a bunch of lounge chairs that look out at the harbor. Cost is pretty reasonable considering other hotel prices on island. Located right in the middle of Kahului town, and super close to Wailuku. Everything is a 5-10 minute drive to get to. I recommend Tiffany’s for dinner The breakfast buffet is a great deal when all food items are available CONS- Fitness center has been closed since 2020. Would be nice to have access to it, but I imagine they would have to raise the prices to maintain it probably. Pool was a little over chlorinated Ice machine was out while we were there Breakfast buffet was missing a few food items like pancakes and Portuguese sausage, such a bummer as that is what we were looking forward to the most! *Not the fault of the hotel but since the beach is close to the harbor there is quite a bit of ocean trash that washes up shore. This is a great way to practice leaving a place better than you found it by helping clean up the ocean line 🏝️ Overall we have a great time whenever we stay at Maui Beach Hotel. I’m sure we’ll be back again!…
Staff at Maui Beach hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. The courtyard, right on a beautiful beach, was an awesome space to spend a relaxing afternoon. Lots of places to sit out in the breeze. Comfortable bed and pillows, clean room.
Checked in after a long flight as an overnighter before heading to our resort in the morning. Got in after10 to find the main reason we booked this did not even exist. We even called in advance of booking online and was told "o yes, we have a fitness center". After checking in we followed the signs to the fitness center to get a little exercise after 10 hours in planes (and was also planning a morning workout). The signs led you to an office, no fitness center exists. Not only that, but they claim that the "resort" fee is for the use of the fitness center and internet. It will probably come as no surprise to find out the internet just happened to be down that night too. No refund of my "resort" fee after pointing out both issues to staff.
The price was quite steep. 350CAD (260USD) for 1 single night. The place looks very old and austere on the inside. Like it's been built in the 80s and never been renovated ever since. I have stayed in road side motels that look much nicer for a fraction of that price. This place needs a serious makeover and a thorough renovation. We honestly felt robbed to have paid that much for what we got. The staff however was very nice and helpful and our interraction with them was lovely.
The location is the main reason for booking this hotel. Aside from that, I wouldn’t necessarily stay here. It is conveniently located in town where I conducted most of my business. The parking is great… it’s free and ample.
Bed was average. Room size and location was good. Drapes could have closed better. Key card was hard to operate. All in all a good stay. Would stay again. But the price was way too expensive. Mahalo nui!!
