First let me say, if you have any thoughts about trying to do the road to Hana and back to the west/south coast of Maui in one day I would recommend that you seriously reconsider - you just can't drive there and back and do it any justice without spending at least 1 night in Hana, preferably more. Yes, technically...

We stayed at Hale Manu for 2 nights at the start of our 10-night Maui honeymoon. The 2-bedroom cottage was spacious and clean and fully stocked with anything you might need. We stopped at the grocery store near the airport before heading to Hana, which is a MUST because the food options in Hana are pretty limited, especially after 6pm....

This place is just gorgeous. We felt like we'd come home upon our arrival to Hana. We are so glad that we stayed a couple of nights here and got to enjoy some of the trails and scenery on this side of the island (and not have to do that whole drive back the same day.) Our hosts were so...

During our Maui vacation we decided to do the trip to Hana and stay overnight in order to have time to see all of beauty the trip to Hana has to offer. We were fortunate enough to find The Guest Houses at Malanai had one cottage available for one night and we contacted the owners who made it so easy...

We stayed at the 1bedroom option while on our honeymoon. The house was great. It's in a beautiful location and nearby multi beach and adventure options. The amenities in the house were very nice. It was clean and had everything we needed. I'd definitely stay here again.

We spent four nights here and wished for more. The two bedroom cottage, Hale Manu, Is perfectly furnished and equipped. It is totally relaxing providing views of the water during the day and the stars at night from the deck. When we arrived we were greeted with Hawaiian music and fresh flowers in the cottage. There are spectacular walks and...

We stayed four nights at the guest houses and stayed in the two bedroom cottage. What you'll find is that cell coverage is poor in Hana, Especially if you have AT&T. While teenagers won't appreciate that, I found it awesome. Felt good not to be tethered to the office through my phone. The cottage does have free wifi so I...

We stayed one night and it wasn't enough! This place was truly more than I could have imagined. From the time of my reservation to the night of our stay, the service was outstanding...no detail left out. Fresh flowers in every room, Hawaiian music playing and the doors and windows were open upon our arrival. The house was beautiful and...

We spent the night in Hana at one of the gorgeous Guest Houses at Malanai. There are two beautiful guest houses on the property. They are about a five minute drive from the center of town. We stayed in the two bedroom house at the top of the property. It had a great deck and was surrounded by lush fruit...

We stayed for two nights at the one bedroom cottage in September. As others have said the home is in a lovely setting. There are tropical flowers inside and outside and there was Hawaiian music playing as we arrived. It is spacious, comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need. Our only complaint was the lack of air conditioning as...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We offer two impeccably maintained, fully furnished, ocean view homes in one of Hana’s finest locations. We are directly across from the Maka’alae pasturelands and ocean and also situated within walking distance to world famous Hamoa Beach and Venus Pool. Each home is landscaped for privacy on our approximately two-acre property. We live in a separate home on the property, so you have the security of knowing that your rental is well maintained and though we honor your privacy, we make ourselves available to assist you when needed. Both of our guesthouses have stack washer/dryers, tub and shower combinations (a oversized claw foot tub in Hale Ulu Lulu and a spa tub in Hale Manu) and enjoy the convenience of “on the grid” wi-fi, electricity, free telephone to US/Canada, cable and water. We consistently receive rave reviews on our attention to detail and thoughtfully equipped homes. ... more   less
