We just had a fantastic stay at the Maui Eco Retreat. The beautiful setting is just remote enough to feel you are away from the mainstream, but not difficult to get to or to take an easy 15 minute drive to get supplies. There is a spiritual, eco, alternative vibe which you can participate in, or just do your own...

I loved this place, but not everyone would... It was pretty far-out in more ways than one, but some people like that, including me, not so much my partner... I loved the magic here and that we had a corner of the jungle almost to ourselves. We were lucky to have mostly dry weather, so we were able to hike/scale...

This is a very special place. Know what you're looking for when you choose it. If you want a "resort" experience with room service and luau's, this retreat is NOT for you. If you want to truly unplug, breathe jungle floral air, meet others in a shared living/dining space, hike to a secluded and private waterfall, shower in a rustic...

Wow what a beautiful poetic review! Yes, we feel our land is a sacred place that permeates the fragrance of the flowers that opens the heart. For those who find us - the magic door opens. Yes, this place is not for everybody and we are blessed to host guests like yourself. Thank you and hope one day you swim...

Never seen such a green place which at the same time provides every comfort you need! Everything is recycled as properly as possible and the power supply is 100% roof-top solar. There's a battery, so you'll never be in the dark. Still, they ask you to use energy responsibly (as you should anywhere else, but here you can experience why...

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It warms our hearts when we have guests that "see" this land we care for with so much love. We hope one day to welcome you back as many of our former guests do. With a warm and Swiss Yodel from all of at the Kahua land.

I've allowed myself some time to reflect on our experience, hoping to find something positive to say. This is it, view from front porch of Thai hale cottage was pretty, if a bit boring. That said, I regretted my choice as soon as we turned off the Hana highway and began the bone jarring journey downhill, literally and figuratively. After...

Highly recommended if you are looking for a green, quiet, and awesome place to spend quality time. We came back for a second time and still loved it. Although staying in the middle of a green oasis the location offers a great ocean view and every thing you need to look after your self, such as by attending yoga classes...

What a gem on Maui. If you truly believe in sustainability, eco-friendly, and want to really immerse yourself in nature away from any noise or stress this is the place to do just that. Coming from New York City to the Maui Eco Retreat was an extreme environment shift and it was so beneficial mentally and physically. I also learned...

We stayed here for almost a week and we love this beautiful place. It's like staying in paradise. The nature; rainforest, steep cliffs, beach is fantastic. There are nice trails for hiking in front of your door. The quietness is perfect for relaxing. The Bamboo-Temple with its panoramic window is great, you can enjoy the sunrise out of your bed....

Stayed here and it was heaven. Maui at it's best. Amazing trails, hike down to the lagoon, 20-30 minutes from great dining and beaches. Awesome ocean views. The outdoor shower was the best. We could cook in our room and relax on our deck with our morning coffee- peace and quiet and Maui beauty. Wifi at the main house worked...

This is our 3rd night at the Maui Eco Retreat. After 2 days of hustling and bustling, we stayed put at the retreat today with 2 friends who live in Maui but had never been here. We offer luxurious and unique accommodations. Organic coconuts on-site and tropical fruits are available when in season. Choosing our place means you automatically lower your carbon footprint. When staying with us you are contributing to the sustainable green living movement that is expanding daily. Escape the tourist-filled places.
