For being so insanely expensive, this place is a major disappointment. I am here right now and cannot believe I am paying this much for this place. Pool is dirty, the beach is public, sand they have in the salt water pool rips your feet to shreds! Room is literally a 30 min walk from the pool!! Restaurant hours are weird and you have to reservations booked months out for them. It’s 2pm and the only place to get food is the pool bar. I’m so disappointed. There is a major, gross stain in the shower curtain. Some of the staff are pleasant but some are so rude! Blows my mind. Will not be coming back and will not recommend.

Loved it! Beautiful grounds and pools. We never had a problem getting a chair in the shade either around the pool or the sandy lagoon. Loved the lazy river. Very quiet, comfortable and clean room! Staff was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

Service was terrible. I had hair in my food and there were cockroaches in our room. This was my wife and I's honeymoon and what is labeled as one of the best hotels on the island was far from that. My wife has already left a review for this experience but I would not recommend if you are looking for a nice and 5 star experience. Go elsewhere and you will have a better time. Staff was also very inconsiderate about the horrible experience and left a very bad taste in our mouths.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, the service was impeccable, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was incredibly clean. Our food all around the resort was delicious, even the poolside menu, but especially Tidepools and Stevenson’s (get a reservation in advance!); our server Alejandro at Tidepools was wonderful and kind. The many pools and hot tubs made us more than content with some resort days in between driving around the island. The water stations were plentiful and a brilliant idea, and you’re given water bottles. The lei greeting made me so happy, since one at the airport wasn’t an option. The spa was beautiful and serene, and our couples massage in the garden was magical. The beach in front is dramatic and the sounds lull you to sleep. Poipu Beach is just a short drive away and perfect for snorkeling. What a tremendous vacation full of aloha!…

Grand Hyatt Kauai is a lovely resort - we had a family vacation here in May 2021 and the experience was great. Kauai was just about opening up for tourists and the staff wee fantastic in making the guests feel safe and comfortable during these times. The pool / saltwater lagoon are amazing - super kid friendly resort - while still keeping luxury at a premium level - highly recommend!

We are loving our time at the Grand Hyatt for our 20 year wedding anniversary trip. We have had the ablsoute best service from our morning waiter Eugene in Iluma Terrace. My husband and I both have dietary limitations and he has been so accommodating and considerate. I posted a photo of the food he brought me! Our room steward Paz is also lovely. She has done a wonderful job keeping our space clean and bright. Only 2 drawback s 1) there are no chairs at the pool- many guests here in day passes who have taken all of the chairs 2) there is no availability in the spa for the entire time of our stay here (we are on a waitlist) Otherwise great resort!

The rambling river and all the other pool areas were wonderful. The salt water lagoon was so relaxing, as well. Room to move around and try different areas. The bed was so comfortable. Room was spacious and comfortable. Loved the boutique shops. The dining experience was great even poolside.

The property is amazing! The lush gardens and many pools are stunning and create a more intimate feel. We made several dinner reservations at the resort restaurants, but if you aren’t able to book one, you’ll be just fine ordering food poolside or dining on your patio. The ambiance is so lovely, you’ll want to soak in every moment. It is spectacular, we can’t wait to return!
