This is our 4th stay at Kuhio Shores and 2nd stay in 412. I have to say it’s my favorite place in one of my favorite places. Bright, comfortable, quiet, well equipped, best view possible. If you need a pool (what with the ocean just everywhere) then stay in a resort. If you l

Be prepared to be amazed. This newly remodeled condo is absolutely stunning. We felt like we walked into a designer showroom and continued to find more and more amenities as the stay continued. They have stocked the unit with everything you need for your stay, and top of the li

Kuhio Shores unit 414 is a 2/2 condo that has been recently redone and it is one of the prettiest condos I have ever stayed in. All the touches from the soothing whites with greens and blues are just so inviting. Every detail has been thought out from beach towels, beach cha

We will be booking a unit this next week, but we are torn between one that is in the middle facing directly south (which would provide us with easy access for walking out on the lawn and sitting out there watching sunsets and turtles) OR to book one on the 2nd floor with south side and east views because it is a corner unit. We also have two girls that are wanting to explore, but we also want the best experience and view. What would you recommend?
Our unit faced straight south giving 180 degree views. Every morning for sunrise we walked to the SE corner for the best view and usually found several people there, as well. From our perspective there are only several units that we would not like- those being the units on the East side closest to the road which is quite busy. The end unit on the SE corner was not occupied when we were there but it certainly has a great location. We were able to leave our doors and windows open 24/7 on the second floor and thats a big plus as the units are NOT air conditioned. We would not have felt comfortable doing that on the ground floor. Feel free to contact me again with any other questions. Best regards Bill

My husband and I have stayed at Kuhio Shores before and love the location, but 2016 would be the first time we've been in Kauai during the summer (late Aug./early Sept.). Since there's no air conditioning in the building, we have some concerns about being hot at night when we're trying to sleep. Would we be more likely to stay cool if we stay on the 4th floor? Would it be better to stay in a unit that ends in 01-08 that would be in the shade in the afternoon, or would a unit that ends in 10-19 have better breezes (assuming that the wind pattern is normal)? Do all of the units have ceiling fans in the bed rooms?
The East does heat up in the morning so it's best to close the shutters until the sun goes around. Go snorkeling or hiking or something in the morning, then when you get back, you are in the shade. You usually get nice breezes through the units. They have lots of fans if the trades die down. The South seldom gets direct sun because of the deep overhang .Unit #110 is our favorite. Vry nice folks to rent from and they keep the place spotless. We like the bottom floor because of the lovely lawn which extends from your lanai.

The unit doesn't show many pictures and it seems to look clean but people have said negative things about it. How is the master bedroom set up? Is the bedroom with the twin beds the one with the bathroom? Where is the other bathroom located? I know it has not been updated but as long as it is clean and the furnishings and kitchen appliances are in good shape I can work with that. The reviews concerning the security of the unit concern me this was the only unit that had this happen too. Any photos or information that you can give me I would appreciate. Thanks Sandy
Sandy I'm puzzled by your statement re: complaints about my unit If you look at the reviews for my unit they're all very positive Which unit are you referring to?? Mahalo
