This hotel was perfect for our needs! We landed in Lihue and immediately went to the Palms and had a contactless checkin which was quick and easy! We got up the next morning to head out for the Kalalau Trail where we hiked to the Kalalau Valley and camped at the beach for 5 nights! The Palms stored our luggage while we experienced this adventure and welcomed us back with a clean room, warm shower, and a kitchenette that provided us with ample room and amenities for three adults. During one of our visits to the lobby, we were looking at the historical display and information they have assembled. It was at this time we experienced one of the treasured highlights of our trip. His name is Ron and what a treasure! Ron took the time to share his wealth of information and experience with us. We learned so much! If we/when we return to Kauai, we will be looking to catch up with Ron and return to the Palms and amazing restaurants within walking distance! It’s not the Ritz……..it’s much more personable.

Aloha Lycbf, Thank you for your kind comments regarding clean and personable accommodations. We are a vintage property offering reasonable rates and an authentic island experience. During the first quarter of 2022, we decided to share the rich history and culture of Kauai to our visitors to enrich their experience. We are glad that it was one of your treasured highlights of your trip. Of course, we do these cultural presentations at no additional cost. We do look forward to your next visit for we have much to share. "A hui hou" or "until we meet again."

We loved our stay at the Kauai Palms, we stayed in Cottage C which included a kitchenette. We had everything we needed for a great stay including coffee maker, comfortable bed, cooking appliances, towels and soap. The room was sparkling clean! Staff were friendly and responsive, check in/out were contactless and convenient. Located within walking distance of shops and restaurants. We would gladly stay here again!

Excellent value, clean hotel in a convenient location. It's an older hotel with a charm of it's own. What sets this hotel apart was meeting Ron, the manager of the hotel. The evening we met him, Ron asked us if we were interested in learning about the history of the Hawaiian people. We said yes and Ron gave us a very interesting talk on the anthropology of the Hawaiian people! It was fascinating and educational to listen to him. Ron is happy to share his knowledge with the hotel guests. Just ask him. It was a unexpected bonus and made our stay there memorable! We would stay there again.

Aloha Z62044TXdonaldl, Great location, good value plus the rich history and culture of its people. Thank you for staying with us and allowing us to be gracious host....which is the "Aloha Spirit." Our intent, for those that are interested, is to impart the rich history and culture that surrounds us. By doing so, places visited are more meaningful and much more appreciated. Again, thank you and look forward to your return to our beautiful Garden Island!! Mahalo!

This hotel was awesome! Spacious enough for 4 people. The sink in the bathroom was a little tight but that’s my only complaint. Most places on the island were overpriced to stay at so this spot was worth it. I requested to have a cottage with 2 queen beds, which they didn’t have at the time, but they accommodated and offered to put the twin beds together with a padding on top which made it a king! Good location and privacy although the walls are pretty thin and you can kind of see in the room with the lights on through the curtains. But the location is in the back, not too many people come around anyway m. The sink for one bedroom is outside the bedroom, just fyi. We loved it here. Bed was comfy couch was comfy and we used the eating area too. I recommend this place for a group of 4 or less. Pretty central between hanalei and koke’e. They don’t offer late check out.

Bug infested, need I say more? Put bags in room, went away to do laundry (none on site) came back to bugs crawling all over my bananas. Threw them out, asked gor bug spray. Totally sprayed the room, went to dinner. Came back to more bugs and roaches all over my toiletries. Completely grossed out. Left the hotel to find another place to stay for the night. They did offer me another room but I knew I wouldn't sleep, so what's the point?

We appreciated how close this hotel is to the airport. We flew in late, and since check-in is only until 8 PM, the staff sent us a message through Booking.com about which room was ours and that it was unlocked with the keys inside. This was the cheapest option we could find in Kauai that wasn't the one hostel. It was easy to park in the gravel lot. The maid staff did keep the rooms clean and were respectful. It took a couple phone calls for them to confirm how we would check in after our flight landed late in the evening. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. There was mold on the inner shower curtain. It took a while for the air conditioning and fan to cool the room, and the A/C window unit was quite loud. We could hear our neighbors laughing/chatting through the walls, and roosters woke us up at 4 AM. The staff was not particularly friendly during check-out.

Even though they seem to offer high speed internet there is NONE & the fact they offer something they don’t actually have is ILLEGAL. This is a hotel we spent a lot to stay at and got zero customer service from every number we called including the after hours number they seem to offer. The room was decent but we were extremely disappointed by the fact that we had zero support in troubleshooting the lack of WiFi and could not get ahold of anyone. Do not stay here if you want any front desk support at all there’s no numbers to call or anyone to reach out to in case of emergencies late at night. Horrible customer service. Very dissatisfied.

Stayed for 2 nights in February. Room was booked via booking.com with a confirmation of an early check-in around 11am by the hotel. We arrived at 11am and the receptionist told me we didn’t have a reservation there. Another female took over and found the reservation but then told us they would text me when the room was ready. When I explained that we had a confirmed early check-in at 11am she was very condescending and said “any check-in before 3pm is an early check-in” and they would text when the room was ready, not giving any indication of when that might be. We left to do some sightseeing and it was about 11:30 when we were messaged that the room was ready. The room itself is fine, clean and had a king-sized bed and very cold refrigerator. There was no service to exchange towels or empty the trash while we were there. The wifi was unreliable or didn’t work at all. Would not return.
