Pleasantly surprised by this accommodation. Stayed 2 days, slept well with no complaints. Clean room, bathroom and kitchenette. We really appreciated that the kitchenette was stocked with the basic utensils and dinning plates as well as clean up things. I'd stay at Kauai Palms again when visiting family on Kauai.

The staff is really nice, it's a short walk to restaurants and bars and it's close to the airport. Nothing is cheap on Kauai, this is one of the cheaper hotels and you can really tell. The room needs some freshening up and could be cleaner. It is ok for a night when flying in/out of Lihue, but nothing more.

This is a very local hotel in Lihue. The pluses are that it is about 5 minutes from the airport and right off the main street (Rice) in Lihue - which makes for an easy start for any local travel. The property is older and the rooms are small. WiFi is good and free. There are no telephones in the...

One night stay after long flight from East coast. A comfortable bed, quiet night, clean room and hot shower was all I needed. I got roaches, a lumpy bed with an ancient history and roosters crowing from a next door farm. I was also awakened by the front desk which closes at 8pm after falling asleep to double check my...

Aloha, Your response is appreciated. I am sorry your one night with us was not pleasant. We do have many different animals on the island and we try our best to keep them out. The roosters and chickens are a part of the island and they are every where. They even greet you at the airport. I'm sorry the clerk...

Perfect for first or last day on the island. Very close to the airport. Our queen bed was comfortable and the bathroom was small and the room was very clean. What was best for our two night stay was the Aloha extended by the friendly , service oriented staff. You get exactly what you pay for and for anyone thinking...

If you have breathing issues, allergies or other lung related issues or even if you don't, Do Not stay at Kauai Palms (American Lung Association article on breathing issues and our experience). The first night upon arriving, we were greeted with several 1/2" critters running around the bathroom and closet. We didn't know what they were as we have never...

Aloha, Thank you for taking the time to leave a response, we appreciate all comments. I clearly remember you and your situation. You stayed seven days with us. We tried our hardest to accommodate you, but unfortunately even with the offer to move you to the second floor or even another hotel, you did not want to move. We had...

Staff moved us to a more expensive room free of charge after we had a toilet overflow disaster in our basic room. They followed up with us everyday to make sure we were happy with our new room. Caring, attentive management and staff. We will be staying here on our next vacation to Kauai.

The room we stayed in with two twin beds was tiny, but it had all we needed in a convenient location. It's a basic hotel room, but if you just need a place to sleep at night, this is the place for you as it's the most reasonably priced hotel around! Nothing else compared, price-wise.

We stayed here for 5 nights in two rooms. Myself my hubby and our two adult kids. Good -The price, early check in, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the showers were hot with good pressure. Morning coffee. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful. The bad - one staff member who chastised us for cleaning the...

Aloha, Thank you for taking the time to leave a response. I do apologize for the none aloha staff member. I do appreciate you bringing this to my attention. We do have a washer and dryer on site for small loads. The laundry mat next door has many washers and dryers better for bigger loads. Happy to hear the next...

The staff was so helpful in making arrangements so that checking in after the office closed was super easy. Once we entered the room, we were pleasantly surprised at how clean it was. We'd read previous reviews so we knew the room was going to be small, and it was, but it didn't feel cramped. It was a warm welcome...

Aloha, Coming in on late flights are exhausting so we try to make the check-in as easy as possible. We know all you want to do is get some sleep. I appreciate the compliment on the clean rooms. The housekeeping staff will be happy to hear that. I hope you are having or had a beautiful Kauai vacation. Mahalo!
