The suite is large, comfortable and homely with personal ornaments and an eclectic selection of books. Patti is an engagingly welcoming hostess, Bear is a sweet little dog and the ocean view from the lanai was a delightful surprise. The house might be tricky to find for the first time in the (very) dark but, once found, is never to...

We stayed 3 nights in the suite in the house of the host. We had a lot of space and had a full complete kitchen with lanai and bbq to cook our food. The house is located in a very quiet and beautiful neighborhood which is very appreciated. We enjoyed the privacy of the suite and the location near Poipu'...

We stayed two nights in patty's place and it's lovely ! Great view, great position to explore south and west, large and confortable room. Patty makes you feel at your own home ! And her cute dog Bear too. The breakfast is delicious (fresh mango, papaya,baggels...) Expect to be woken up early by the roosters, but we found it funny....

A good location for exploring South Kauai. I enjoyed chatting with the owner Patti over breakfast. I found the upstairs guest room with private bathroom very comfortable, and quiet. I would definitely recommend her place which is in proximity to two beautiful garden attractions, and also to the famous Waimea Canyon.

We stayed in a large en-suite room inside Patti's home. It was a comfortable and affordable stay that we used as a base for South Shore activities. We hiked the beautiful trails in Waimea Canyon and Koke'e State Parks, about an hour's drive away. Kalaheo is centrally located within 15 mins drive from Koloa and Hanapepe, plus Poipu's beaches and...

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Hale Ikena Nui in April. We had a great time there. Especially Bear (the dog) made our trip perfect. He is such a cute dog and we loved playing with him. We stayed in the guest room in the main house. It has a private bathroom and is very comfortable. Patti was...

We had a pleasant stay at Hale Ikena Nui. Our room was big and clean, as was the adjoining, private bath. Patti served us a breakfast each morning that consisted of a papaya, banana, pineapple, blueberries, English muffins and coffee or tea. You can see the ocean from her kitchen table and patio. I would recommend staying here if you...

Budget friendly. South Kauai was not my favourite of the island but Patti was helpful. Buy a Tent and enjoy Kauai for its natural beauty at 3-4$ PER NIGHT :D This has that B&B vibe, you're staying at someone else's house,so keep that in mind. Be grateful and respectful and you'll fully enjoy Patti's piece of Paradise. also, why do...

My wife and I spent a week at Hale Ikena Nui in September, and it couldn't have been better. We stayed in the very spacious and well-equipped downstairs suite. It was not the super deluxe spit-and-polish that a large (and expensive) hotel chain might offer, but it immediately felt like home away from home. Patti was gracious and helpful without...

We rented Hale Ikena Nui as basecamp. We had the studio which is large and well equipped with kitchen (with a dishwasher) bath room with washer and dryer ( we very much appreciated this), a large comfortable bed and a very large living space with dinner table big enough to do my yoga excercise in the morning. It is in...
