Do not stay in room 1. The owner Michele only responded to our inquiries about money and never answered several emails requesting information. She never sent instructional email as promised even after multiple requests so we didn't know where we were staying or how to get in upon arrival. I paid for an extra day and emailed back and forth...

Seeing the reviews, we were apprehensive about this place. Maybe some of the other rooms aren't so nice but room 4 was just lovely. Fully equipped kitchen (there's not a lot of choice on eating out), firm bed, aircon, fast wifi, clean, roomy - I don't know what else people want? From the outside, all the units look the same....

We stayed at the Hanalei Inn for five nights and used as a base for the northern part of Kaui. The location is great, a walk to the beach, the main shopping area and out of the Princeville precinct. We have given 3 stars but wish there was a two and half option. For the money we really expected more...

We stayed in two rooms at Hanalei Inn and this review splits the difference between the two rooms and our experience. We spent one night in Room 4 and really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean except the entryway (some leaf and soil detritus tracked in for a few feet) but we thought it could be because another guest scoped...

We felt lucky to find this inn with the feel of an earlier, less rushed, Hawaii. The location is close to town and beach. The rooms are charming, clean and comfortable. We had room 4. The rooms have a small porch and a tiny full kitchen. They had all the appliances and utensils we needed. The owner and her sons...

Great small accommodation just off the main road. A few minutes walk into town. There are 5 units , we were in unit 2. All units are attached and the walls are quite thin. Great bed and lovely deck outside where you can have breakfast. The kitchen was handy to have and you could buy most food supplies in town....

A good location only a 10 minute walk from the centre of town and 5 minutes from the beach. The rooms are comfortable with your own kitchenette and outdoor seating area , the owners along with their pet cat Calypso are very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Central location in Hanalei. Cute and comfortable with nice kitchenette and lanai. The owners were very friendly and we were able to store some of stuff with them before hitting the trail. Mahalo. Very close to the beach, so there is no pool.

My boyfriend and I had the opportunity to stay here after we came off the Na Pali coast trail a day early. It has a chill island feel, with the office being and outside shelter with a hammock. It's very small, only five rooms. Our room was clean and the bed was super comfy! The room had coffee a fridge...

an older type of living, back when Hawaii was Hawaii....not the over built condos of many destinations in Hawaii. If you want the 'feel' of how it might have been 30-40 years ago....stay here. Some units have a small kitchenettes (only 5 units total, so the place is intimate). Some units have AC, some do not (inquire). Back before when...
