This hotel is one of only 2 Hotels built by a really famous Builder.....The grounds are spectacular and you can even see whales from the property during winter and watch dolphins year round....The only reason i don't give it 5 stars is because the rooms need some work.....not bad, but not 5 star. Food is a bit pricey, Hotel cost...

Great hotel, best beds ever, will recommend to friends and clients for event and be back for sure. Good starting point to go see a lot of Big Island, several pools and a cute little bay. Nice and quiet in April. Super nice staff.

Upon entering the spacious tropical lobby, we were warmly greeted and quickly checked in. Our room was in the Ocean Tower, one of four buildings on the 60+ acre ocean front property. A tram is available to move quickly and easily between buildings on this large property. The public spaces in the Ocean Tower were a letdown after the lovely...

The resort itself is amazing with some of the best amenities - you could spend days there without leaving the hotel. Unfortunately the weather was overcast and raining for our visit so we couldn't enjoy it to its full potential but it was still a fun stay. Snorkelling with turtles etc at the resort was amazing! The rooms were very...

We were put off initially by our room, which was on the first floor in the Palace Tower, which is in need of renovating. We could see that the Ocean and Lagoon Towers are both superior to the Palace. Once moved to the top floor, we were happier with our view and surprisingly with the room, too. It is an...

We spent six nights here on the Hilton Grand Vacations package. Had to sit thru the 2 hour spiel about buying a time share. Not painful, but not fun. And not a good deal in our opinion. The hotel itself was fine. As others have said, the place is VERY large. Plan to walk a lot or wait for the...

My husband and I came here for our vacation this year and the grounds are absolutely beautiful! The staff were very nice and accommodating and willing to help with any needs. Its a great place for both families and couples to stay on the Big Island. It has a beach lagoon which is kid friendly and like being on the...

We went to the Hilton Waikaloa for our 25th anniversary and based on an offer from Hilton Grand Vacations. We checked in and upgraded to an ocean view room from a 'standard room' which apparently overlooks the 'interior of the resort' and not the ocean. So happy we did! We were in room 6067 of the ocean tower which was...

We stayed in this hotel for our honeymoon so we did upgrade to a pretty nice room with ocean view/view of dolphins. They views were really nice and our building was not that far from entrance/parking. The checking-in process was fast and we even got a bottle of free champagne. Honestly, the resort is huge and there are many things...

oth the hotel and the room were very clean and the service excellent. The room was very large and had a great view of the gulf course. Only thing, the room did not have enough lights. It needs a light by the sofa for reading. The bed was comfortable. Great food in the restaurants. Really enjoyed the lagoon and walking...
