It is very difficult to find this hotel especially if you arrive there after dark. You would go by very dark road in the woods (no lights at all), then you would have turn into dark and narrow driveway (she road goes up and down, and you should be careful not to hit your car by the big tree branch...

Lovely room in a quaint old house with a huge garden in the woods. Conveniently located near the Volcanoes National Park. Dan was friendly and gave us good tips. Breakfast was great, cakes, fresh fruit, cereals and coffee.

Funky house right outside of the volcano national park, affordable, in a peaceful rural setting. Our two bedroom apt was roomy and well appointed, clean. There is a large deck to sit out on. A nice breakfast with cereals and milk, juice, muffins, and various fruit was a nice surprise. Highly recommended.

We stumbled upon Aloha Crater Lodge by accident, and were so pleasantly surprised with the accommodations and treatment like family. We had booked a vacation rental house to stay in in Volcano, but much to our surprise and disappointment, discovered upon arrival that it was double booked. We had to scramble to find a place to stay for a family...

Enjoyed the casual, comfortable setting. It is in a rainforest setting. I absolutely loved it. I was in room 5, which is a family-size room, with two bedrooms of queen beds, a living room with two cool leather couches, a spacious kitchen and a dining table. Full size fridge, microwave, and oven. Peaceful, well positioned to visit the volcano national...

We had the king room upstairs, and it was just lovely! There was a large covered porch where we ate our breakfast and watched the gentle morning rain. The room had a comfortable bed, a small sitting room where we put the suitcase, a large bathroom, and small kitchen area. It also had a jet tub. Everything was in working...

The location of the lodge was perfect. Literally two minutes from Volcano National Park, which allowed us to go for multiple shorts visits throughout the day and evening. The hosts shared their local knowledge of beaches and other interesting sights both near them and on Kona side where we headed next. The lava cave walk was very interesting.
