It was one of the best accommodation we ever had! The room "Haleakala" was great, the breakfast wonderful and the staff very friendly and helpful.

We love the southeast side of the Big Island and were thrilled to make the Volcano Village Lodge our headquarters for three nights after spending 5 nights in Puako. Our unit, Mauna Kea, was quiet, private and beautifully equipped and furnished. First rate breakfasts complete with delicious coffee ----- all ready at OUR convenience ----- were much appreciated. We also... More

My husband and I stayed for only one night. We had the Mauna Kea and my only complaint was a lack of storage for clothing and luggage. If you stay for one night like we did, it was no big deal but if you are a heavy packer, you may want a bigger room. I could have easily stayed 2... More

What a wonderful place! Volcano Village Lodge is even more amazing than the reviews tell you. It is really a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Hawaii. My husband and I stayed in the Hale Manaluna (also called Hale Mahina). This one is connected to the main reception office, which also includes a book and DVD library.... More

Our stay at Volcano Village lodge was wonderful. We stayed in the Mauna Loa suite. It was very nice. My wife and I used the second bedroom to store our lugage. The accomodations were great! Breakfast every morning was wonderful. Tammy (who works with Kay) was a wonderful host and had excelent suggestions on where we could go for adventures... More

Wow...what a slice of heaven. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary with a 2 week stay on the big island. The way our arrangements played out we only were able to stay one night at this awesome facility. We stayed in the Mauna Loa suite and it was absolutely the best night's sleep we have had in recent memory. Everything... More

I want to write a review so splendid that after one reads it they will not think twice and not hesitate to stay here. We stayed the first five nights on our honeymoon and wished we had not stayed anywhere else. I would love to write tons about this place but understanding how I researched for my honeymoon trip I... We stayed there for a night and wished we stayed longer. The little cabin we stayed in was such a great experience - I felt like I was camping in luxury - we could hear the birds and crickets and see through the window that we were surrounded by a tropical forest but we were staying in a luxurious cabin.... We can't wait to go back! With a long-weekend getaway we couldn't have asked for a better experience than the Volcano Village Kilauea "Glass House" - in the middle of a rainforest and minutes from Volcano National Park, it was heavenly! The individual 'huts' felt very private, they were warm, intimate, well kept and there isn't a better way to... More

Perhaps it was the grey cold wet weather, or just the great B&B in Kona we came from, but VVL didnt quite live up to our (v high)expectations. Dont get me wrong it was clean, the rooms are nicely appointed, the bed comfortable, and the reception was friendly too. The setting is unusual and innovative. The sense of being alone... More
