If you want quiet and peaceful, this is the place. Of course, the Volcano Village area is secluded. The setting in the forest was pleasant and relaxing. The staff were very nice and accomodating. Be sure and arrive before dark unless you want an adventure trying to find the place. Make sure you have the address mapped and with you!...

Aloha! Volcano Village is a very quiet rainforest that is spread out discreetly in the forest. Although we are located in an easy-to-find location, arriving late in the dark could pose a problem without a map & directions. Our website provides a printable map and directions. Additionally, the guest confirmation letter shows the specific directions to the place. Following either...

We only spent one night here while visiting the Big Island. It is an amazing place. So beautiful, calm and relaxing. It is really close to the Volcanoes National Park. We had a bit of trouble trying to find the place and no one where we stopped seemed to know about this place.

This place is amazing! There are only 5 different rooms at this hotel and they are all separate or share one wall with another room so it feels like you are in your own little bungalow. Kay has done a great job with the place. The breakfasts are wonderful in your room, the bed comfortable and she even has a...

Although Kay was away on vacation, I can't imagine service any better than what was provided to us by MaryMay. We stayed in Hale Kilauea for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The room was was extremely clean (Mahalo Miley), coming back from a day out hiking in the Volcano Park to see what our breakfast would be for the...

My wife and I loved every minute of our stay here. Our room, Mauna Loa, was beautifully appointed, with a neat little elevated loft for reading, sleeping, or other fun stuff. Waking up and seeing a tropical rain forest surrounding you on all sides is something everyone should experience at least once in their lives. The owners were gracious and...

We stayed at the Volcano Village Lodge for 4 days. Our room was spacious, clean and well-appointed with a fabulous view of their garden and rain forest. The inn-keepers were very friendly and helpful and their cat Gino adorable. Our breakfasts were generous and very tasty! This lodge is the perfect place to unwind and relax and is in a...

I have nothing but great things to say about our 2 night stay at the Volcano Village Lodge! My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights on our Honeymoon while we were exploring Volcano National Park. The location is very convenient to the park. The hotel itself is fabulous! You feel like you are sleeping in the middle of...

My Husband and I stayed at the Volcano Viilage Lodge for 2 nights in May. I am a travel agent and did a lot of research for the best 2 night stay I could find near the Volcano. This place was outstanding. Kay, the host and her right hand man ,Kaweka were very welcoming and informative about the area on...

My husband and I visited the Volcano Village Lodge with our two small children as a part of a ten day trip to Hawaii. We spent two nights in the Mauna Loa cabin and it was just beautiful. The grounds were lush and peaceful and the kids loved that Gino the cat roamed the property and stopped by for a...

My wife and I booked three nights at the Volcano Village Lodge, with the intent of using it as a base camp to explore the nearby Volcanoes National Park. The park was a spectacular assemblage of geological formations and lava flows (best viewed at night--ask the Innkeeper for the way to get closest to the action). But Volcano Village Lodge...
